Ray Martin commented about these interviews for the promotion for Batman that Jim Carey and Nicole Kidman were great. But he said that Val Kilmer to interview, was a very bad experience. I remember the interview and Kilmer was behavior was incredulous. He just gave single worded answers and made not effort that a frustrated Martin just cut the interview short.
Val had bad publicity at the time.. Because he was misunderstood for being difficult and all that paparazzi sh!t.. People don't know it.. But Val is very private and shy.. He doesn't enjoy the interviews and talk shows are nerve wrecking to him.. He lived in New Mexico for most of his life that's why Hollywood kept feasting on his misery
