I'll never listen to the Arsenal mouth piece calling Liverpool "European Bridesmaids", when they've never even been invited to the wedding
So you’ll accept a Madrid fan saying they will miss their Jurgen Klopp dog walks?
@@roykeane1922 and now a united fan? Real Madrid can say what they want to who they want about UCL, but no English team can go after Liverpool about European achievement
@@adamwatton1809 what kind of argument is that. You can’t point out someone’s failure unless you’ve achieved more…? So sensitive. Klopp lost 3 of 4 European finals, how would you describe that fact
@@roykeane1922 the same way I wouldn't call sir Alex a failure for Barca making flesh lights out of United twice.
Liverpool were made a mid table club by Rodgers and within 5 seasons Klopp won the CL and PL. There could and maybe should have been more trophies but failure most certainly wasn't
@@adamwatton1809 nobody said failure, you just imagined that word cos you’re sensitive…
You just know Keown is all over ChatGPT trying to find things to say
The wheels came off way after Klopp’s announcement. The media really are gluebags
And these 3 huff the $hite out of it . Gluebags 👏👏👏
What wheels??
Liverpool were never winning the league as city and Arsenal were better teams. Last season EVERYBODY said Liverpool were finished..however, to finish 3rd with a brand new midfield and to get champions league is immense
The players didn't handle it. Shame.
Well yes........several months after the announcement.
but how does that go against the suggestion that it affected the season? perhaps it was just slowly creeping in and the closer it got to the end it became realer and thus had a bigger impact by then?
If klopp didnt announce it, some journalist would have printed a story about it anyway
So why didn't klopp keep it to himself the only person who needed to know was his wife.
Something happened for him to quit and it's probably all on fsg
@@paultaylor9498so you think that it would have been better for Klopp to say nothing to the owners who would have to get a new manager and not be able to get the one they wanted because they had to do it all in a much shorter space of time? He did the right thing for the owners and the club and the fans too. By saying nothing to anyone apart from his wife, he would have been putting the owners in a bad position with less notice.
@@paultaylor9498 Liverpool was going to start looking for a replacement.
It could no longer be contained.
klopp had already told the club and players he was leaving in november
@@mark4045 who the hell would have gone for matt lucas
Until 8 weeks ago all ppl agreed that his departure was the reason why Liverpool were on their way to winning 4 titles. And now its the reaon the failed?
The problem wasn't that the team no longer had any motivation or run out of ideas on the pitch, the fact we were ridiculously wasteful in front of goal cost us titles.
Jota was injured, Gakpo and Diaz are no natural finishers, Salah has been in poor form since his injury and Nunez is just an awful striker.
You just have to look at the games against United. In these 3 games we had chances for like 12 goals and didnt win a single one.
Well said
They lost because they're not good enough..
@@Alftupper334 Imagine being at the intellectual level of a 6 year old and sharing that with the whole world. Thanks for your contribution mate.
Exactly. If Jota hadn't had so many injuries Liverpool would have made a fist of it
And not only that, but it was a largely new team with many players getting used to the pace of the league. Plus the injuries!
Obviously, it didn't. They got the same results after the announcement that they were getting before it. It wasn't until late in the season that they imploded.
Exactly
Imploded??
Liverpool were never winning the league as city and Arsenal were better teams. Last season EVERYBODY said Liverpool were finished and to finish 3rd with a brand new midfield is immense!
In all honesty, a case could be made that his announcement is why we finished 3rd. Great middle section of the season. Just mounting pressure at the end, and didn’t quite have enough to go the whole way.
We go again. The Slot era begins. 💪
"Obviously" aye or, as the time grew nearer(to Klopp leaving), the uncertainty increased and thoughts were straying elsewhere, instead of having 100% of focus on what you were trying to achieve. It definitely played a role in the dip in form, the biggest killer was the players lacked the mentality, when pressure mounted, they folded.
wasnt that late they were basically out of it with 8 or so games to go. yes that was a while after the announcement but it must have had an affect on the players.
It didnt ruin anything . Liverpool were not up to it , as simple as that. You cannot win every game at 99 minute...
Of course not. The only people who think it did obviously dont watch football. Liverpool were still playing well and in all comps 3 MONTHS after his announcement. Poor reporting from a poor network
Liverpool were stuttering over the line in matches all season and generally didn't perform in a manner that match the results.
Aye, because things didn't change as his imminent departure drew closer and closer. The players aren't humans, there was no uncertainty/distraction, just poor reporting
Reminder: Liverpool finished 5th last year - the idea they were even on for the quad (again) is ridiculous
zero evidence of that as simon said that players unsettled when he announced… they actually were up for 4 cups but just ran of of gas given so many new players and injuries… martin is confusing chokers arsenal here as is often the case
Nobody had liverpool winning anything this season at beginning.
It had to be announced as it's not in klopps character to lie about future plans and the like. It was his decision and was done his way.... the end.
It didn’t ruin the season, they were just never good enough to go the distance. They rode their luck in a lot of games and the forwards were hit and miss for most of the season. Defensively they were also well below par. They were 5th the previous season so it was a rebuilding job and the fact Liverpool flirted with the title is testament to how much Klopp was getting out of them.
“I feel something”. One of a kind Simon Jordan😂😂😭😭
I love the polarization between Martin and Simon, he's by far my favourite third man on this show
Liverpool fans coping out that no one expected them to challenge for the title (no one thought arsenal last year ) BOTH bottled it
Ask Souness when Bob Paisley announced he was retiring, and whether it affected the teams performance.
Doku penalty, Odegaard handball, Jackson handball, Spurs
Liverpool won the league, but the PGMOL influenced the final outcomes
and what about what happened at forest? or when you should’ve had a man off against everton?
Of course they did ... Muppet 😂😂
Really 😂😂
If my nana had wheels she'd be a bike
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The timing was wrong. Initially it galvanised the team but i feel he could have waited till the end of the season so the only focus would be on the football
I really believe that FSG never supported him enough in the last 3-4 years, not buying enough back up players in the back four as well as defensive midfielders. The signs were there the season after Liverpool won the Premier League, and the owners should have consolidated the squad.
Poor old Martin tries so hard to sound like a modern Rene Descartes of football, but instead comes across like Rene from 'Allo 'Allo.
Simon obviously misses the point of nuances of football
Of course it didn’t. This team are at the beginning of a journey. They’re the 3rd best team in the country, evidently.
Been on that journey about 35 years.
@@robertmclellan3658 Yawn 🥱
@@robertmclellan3658 🥱
@@robertmclellan3658Yet in that time we’ve won more European cups and trophies than anyone else. Weird, that.
Simon is funnily brutal to Keown.🤣
Nobody remembers 2nd place 😢
Or 3rd
A few players are wanting to leave already. Slot is bringing his own backroom staff with him so the period of adjustment might be painful. Klopp will end up in Spain sometime next year after he recovers his mental health.
Jim cant stop laughing at simons put down of keown.
He didnt put them up for adoption.....did he.😂🤣
Slot probably do a Xabi
I feel certain people just irritate SJ. I don't think he does "different views / opinions" very well.
No one predicted Liverpool to finish above Man City or Arsenal and so they finished up where people expected or slightly above where they predicted and so why the shock that they ended up where they have?
I think Liverpool were just a top number 6 short; Arsenal and City's most important players are probably Rice and Rodri; that and injuries....lots of injuries.
In the end it did 100%
What ruined Klopp's and Liverpool's season was the many refereeing decisions that went against them. The same with Arsenal, and no disputing that Wolves had the worst share of bad refereeing... but strangely not more than 3 big decisions going against Man City.
Martin Keown calling Liverpool European Bridesmaids really is hilarious, considering their utter failure in Europe
Nothing to do with it, the narrative was it was the reason they were smashing it for periods after
That being said, Klopp has to shoulder some of the blame for his team falling apart
Finished 3rd with a trophy is better than 2nd with nothing if you factor in the 3rd place team should of had pens against both teams above an possibly beating them knocking points of the 2 teams above and boosting uo theres a bit theres even other games were they have had legitimate goals wiped out
He announced at the end of 2023 and their bad results were three months later… not sure how it’s relevant!
Is Klopp leaving his teeth behind? Did Liverpool pay for them?
Sick, sick and disgusting comment. Reported and hopefully the police will take action on this. Hate crimes can NOT be tolerated even on RUclips comment sections. What a shambolic remark from you, coming at a time when football fans around the world are mourning the loss of Jurgen.
nah we just fell out of form at the wrong time
The same people saying it didn’t are the same who would say it was genius from him if they won title
Poor finishing killed the season. A manager is supposed to setup his team for a win and that's what Klopp dir every single game. Liverpool could finish their dinner, they would've won the league.
I’m sure arsenal were a few points clear of city at some point this season. . . So isn’t that bottling it ??
Should have kept playing the youth
Sorry Martin arteta will go Barcelona and have a cuddle 😂
I'm sorry, Martin is too angry
Nah it was united knocking them out the cup 😁
Keown must be the life of the party! 😒
Yea
yes it did, and they performed poor most of the season and was let off because they he was leaving, 1 league in 9 years
They lost the season at Old Trafford
No it didn't, Liverpool had many injuries and were hanging on for a long time with City and arsenal up there props to them...👌
But eventually they fell away as City and arsenal kicked into overdrive and plowed teams away in front of them...
And city didn't? Liverpool, Arsenal wont win a league as long as there is city.... Arsenal and Liverpool haven't been good enough for years
I have no idea who the host is but he adds nothing
Liverpool can finally sign pure-bloods again.
honestly keown doesnt half talk some bs at times its actually painful to listen to really🤣 who knows how it affected the players klopp announcing his departure its a hypothetical debate really he could hardly of kept it quiet could he however re the points gap between arsenal and liverpool after 38 matches was only seven points and nine points off m city its not like thats a massive difference and re the gap to m city for arsenal why are arsenal getting sympathy they only got 89 points that clearly aint ever going to be enough to finish above m city in the premier league is it liverpool got 90 plus points twice and that wasnt enough and they say in the media this was the best premier league title race ever I disagree I think the best ever was 18-19 when liverpool got 97 points and m city got 98 that was a lot better imo even tho I am gutted as a liverpool fan we missed out that year it was still better than this season for me🤔
Jesus Christ hes gone, let it fkin go lads 😂
Klopp was a massive failure
You should know all about failure...
You're mother was a failure she should of swollen you wasteman
Liverpool 3 ahead with 8 to go and finished 9 behind ..,
thats exactly what liverpool do though dwell on the past. it will be the same with jurgen. how many years did we hear the chant "we won it 5 times" when they hadnt won anything in years. again dwelling in the past. some of the most passionate yet insufferable fans around.
No is the answer- next!
Sounds like Hitler giving a speech
Arsenal won the we beat city and Liverpool cup. That team doesn't have a winners mentality. They did well, but they over celebrated beating Liverpool and City and then lost or drew to lesser teams in the games after those performances. A league game isn't like a cup game. Carragher was right, you've won nothing, get down the tunnel and get ready for the next game against villa. I'm sure arsenal will win something soon. Just need that extra 1/2%, but I said it when they did lap of honour when beating Liverpool, they will end the season with NOTHING. Being a Liverpool fan, I know losing the league by 1 or 2 points wins you nothing. In the history books it just says you finished 2nd, it doesn't say beat city and Liverpool and took it to the last game, no , it just simply says finished 2nd. Arsenal need to start winning things to get away from the losers mentality they currently have.
they were lucky to win the micky mouse cup, they had no season
simon and martin dislike each other so much …. lmao
No opinion we'll change anything at this point, let's just celebrate Klopp the legend because not many coaches can look back and boast with his type of success in Premier League and in the football community in general.
Top lad Proper Klopper 💪😉👍
arsenal 0 trophies liverpool 1 trophy but arsenal had a more succesful season, this proves how dumb keown is
Keown is class
Keown talks some shite
Pep literally admitting that without the things behind him (cheat money) he wouldn't have achieved what he did
Not true.
115 true😅😅😅😅
Facts 115%
Who cares ffs
And what's Arsenal's excuse for bottling it?
Liverpool 5pts clear at one point, what's theirs ?
@@Alftupper334 Klopp. apparently. Arsenal losing 2-0 at home to Villa was shocking.
@63mckenzie
Arsenal were 16-1-1 in their last 18 matches. How is 49 points from 54 points “bottling it”? There is just no margin for error with City. Arsenal fans are just experiencing what Liverpool fans experienced when they won 97 and 92 points under Klopp but didn’t win the league. City’s standard is completely off the charts. That’s the reality.
I'd hardly call losing to a team who's cheated 115 times as bottling it.
@@TPCDAZWell, you ought to revise your definitions, then.
Martin Keown is a joke, he is an awful analyst..subjective subjective
keown the klown...jealous person
The Premier League as we know it is completely done. There is no Premier League without Klopp. Klopp IS the Premier League. Fans of other clubs know this too, games against Liverpool managed by Klopp are the highlight of every single club’s season and that is no more. Hard to see next season going ahead, in all honestly. I can’t stop crying. YNWA

If they had won the PL, Talksport would be saying they won it to honor their manager on his leaving. When they didn't they talk about how it ruined the season. WTF. Seriously. Liverpool didn't win the PL this season because this season is like most others they've played in - they weren't good enough!
That litte sneaky look Simon Jordon keeps on giving everytime he thinks his says something funny is very annoying .
Well done for Martín for being the ONLY decent human being in this discussion. We are not here to mock -well done Martin x
Injuries cost Liverpool simple as that. If Arsenal had the same amount of injuries that they'd have to lean on to 4-5 U21 players they wouldn't have done as well. Missing players like Alisson, Trent, Jota, Robbo, Salah, Sobozali, Nunez, Jones, Endo etc all out at the same time is a big ask for anyone.
People speaking like Klopp was the messiah...
Fk me he bottled so many leagues
