I have some iris seeds . I had let the pod get dry ( not knowing better) Anyway, my seeds are hard. Will I still be able to plant them? It's winter (mid Dec. in Ohio. If they're viable, can I plant them in a pot and keep them by a window. Or would I just put the pot outside ? Thanks, Kari
If they are bearded iris that is good but not the best for Louisiana Iris. Plant in well draining soil and cover with mulch. Keep the pot in a unheated place like a garage where they can get a cold period and then move them out in spring. You can experiment and put some outside as well to find what works for you.
