i ate dinner with these guys before a show in Houston 2 years ago, they're really chill and humble, and completely awesome to see live. Props guys, thanks for all your hard work.
all the progression is gone, and unlike recent progression bands (rishloo) that write climatic bridges and then explode into the end... Dredg no long writes like that. That said, the songs mentioned above, still captured great moments, and his vocals are still arguably unmatched by today's bands
I havent found a bad dredg release. Either i didnt like it so much at one point or i eventually grew to love that particular one later on. Its always inevitable. i dont ever want to know what dredg is gonna do, i most certainly dont expect them to make an album that they would expect me to like. Ill admit i kinda thought chuckles was a joke at first but now i love it. i hope they come back soon and save the world.
@pische He used to be back in the day (ie. this video). He is spot on now. I've seen them 3 times in the past year and my band actually opened for them in LA. Now his vocals are great live!
I wouldn't say that those songs are cheesy pop songs at all. Can you honestly categorize the music of dredg with a word other than experimental? I would say every last song by dredg has it's own origin and that reflects on the mood of the song. This is what keeps dredg fresh and makes them an amazing band. All their songs sound different.
Damn its hard to believe that they wrote cheese pop songs like spitshine after this. I hope their next album will be more inspired than CWOA. Maybe they need to go back to the desert and take more drugs.
cheesy pop?? well, i'm worried about them, too, 'cause their new songs are just getting to plain and ordinary and i measure it by looking at the drums line (cause i also play drums). if this goes as it does dino is going to play only those sweet little tear dropping simple lines on piano. listen to their older records and hear what's going on there! that's no more progressive, that's no more experimental...
i gotta agree with radm. At first glance, songs like jamais vu, sang real and ode, sounded great Their song writing, especially the verses is great, however their song composition is gone... they are doing the generic verse, chorus, verse, chorus, brige, chorus, out. BORING!!!!...
My dream show Dredg, Hum, Shiner
i am so baked right now. ogood music.
what a voice

Everyone’s on point. Dino especially
Dredg Forever.
I drove through the town of Harmony last week. It really does have a population of 18.

Still pretty innovating... you now, the "celestial sounds"

I think dino's finest drumming was on this album
this guy plays drums like he is angry with his cymbals.
@flakcannonnick WORD!

i love 311 too.. dredg has a better sound for me.. but ive been listning to 311 since 95 and dredg since like 02..
what are they startng to play after 18 people??? i don't know that song, and i thought i knew all of them. somebody knows?
well, now that i think about it, it's closest to the papal insignia. nontheless it sounds smashing!
very arguably
his voice is outstanding, but that's a bit of a stretch.

You haven't heard enough cheesy pop, obviously.
