@@licencetoswill The problem is the title of the video but I suppose with a title like that people will watch it to try and figure out why anyone would think its a stupid idea

So your one reason is that they use plastic to float them but then you explain it away with places that are using recycled plastic. Whats the point of this video again?

Where did you get the number of floating solar farms being 15% more expensive than on land based solar farms from?

With rapid developments in chemistry it should be possible to make HDPE from agri-waste biomass or plantations of beema bamboo (fast growing, high density) via bio-oils via pyrolysis or hydro-thermal liquifaction. Incidentally, such plantations sequester large amounts of CO2 as well.

Dislike that I have to get to half way through the video before getting the answer to the title, I prefer getting an answer early and having it expanded upon

I was really uncertain on how I was going to build up the video. That's really interesting. Seriously, I will take it into account. Thanks for the feedback.

True. I was ready to go all in on your suggestion. AB testing would be the way to go 😅

Maybe it would help if these solar panels have gaps between to allow light to reach marine life below; provide helpful amount of shade and heat absorboption to what is underneath

The reason I clicked the 'thumbs down' option is because I can't hear what the heck you're saying. It started loud and obnoxious (the music, preobably not what you were saying) so I clicked further into the video. Same thing. Music overpowers the commentary.
If what you have to say has any level of impoartance, please let us hear it. Currently, I won't subject myself to the overproduction attempt at your video.
The simple way for me to change my thumbs down to a thumbs up & delete this comment, is for you to remove the music so I can hear what on earth you're trying to say.
I guess I'll have to go elsewhere to figure out why floating solar farms are a bad idea.

Great video! I love the concept of harnessing energy for outdoor adventures. If you're looking for reliable outdoor gear and home backup power products, I highly recommend checking out the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series. With its massive capacity, powerful output, and fast recharging, it's perfect for camping trips or ensuring uninterrupted family time at home. Plus, it's waterproof and comes with comprehensive protections for peace of mind. Keep up the great content!

    What a ridiculous video.
You tell us why floating solar is so terrible and then proceed to give the solution.
Whatca waste of time. Channel blocked to prevent this in future.
