im an old fart that went to the first nats n b4 that the hotrod nats . over the years you young fellas have built some tough cars but none of you have ever thought about having compressed oxyegen going to a clear box over the air inlets so the smoke doesnt kill your motors n make em die while doing burnouts . we had them in the 70s n they worked wekll plus we had compressed air squirt into the turbines on turbos to stop lag . just a thought but i enjoy watching wat you guys do . cheers

Is your breathers on your tank blocked or restricted . If your tank has vacuum in it the engine wont run right . I had that problem on a turbo v6 the tank wouldnt vent and fucks the tune up . If changing pills doesnt work like it should its a fuel system problem . I noticed the tune changes between rich and lean .
Well done on your first ever Nats in the wagon mate and nice work on the videos 👍 We all have teething issues with our setups, you will get on top of it. It sounds like you may have a gummed up fuel system, check that your barrel valve and nozzles are clear from the dreaded methanol clag. I know a few guys that had issues with that fuel blocking up filters on the weekend
I know this 40 year old lady who was standing in the crowd of the burnout area and had a piece of thin wire from the radial tyres from a blowout tyre embedded into her eyeball and is now blind in that eye. It’s amazing how these things can happen when you don’t even dream of something like that happening when your enjoying a burnout. And the amazing thing about it was that she thought she had maybe a small bit of dirt in her eye. But when she realised after 2 days that this bit of dirt she thought she had was still in her eye, she went to the eye doctor who told her she had a piece of wire sticking out of her pupil.

They’re both very new cars still! They take a long time to get dialed! Remember a lot of these cars especially in the masters have been doing it for 10+ years in the same car and have had plenty of time to get them running amazing

How do you know it was the best ever? Went to 14 and 16 and 14 was so good, but not for the family or thin skinned girls. It was completely mental from burnouts to cruise laps that weren't all that cruisy to naked girls walking about to the sat night with actual rock bands, wet T shirt comps, strippers, random flashing etc etc. Oh yeah and thr burnouts also insane Not the family oriented boring stuff from these days
@@ladypeiandtheclown5410 we also had the Judge 1200hp vs ute and Brock hitting the wall in the momo ute while shredding tyres both RIP Mark Arblaster with 440 mopar. Just good mental times. Noted that the only accident I had seen outside the burnout pad was a Mazda rotary that snapped an axle, lost his wheel and hit a HK manaro. We had the fire hydrant near the stables on tap with a home made tool that kept the arvo very interesting with the esky. Sorry the other accident I had seen was a girl on the back of a short wheel based cruiser flashing with the shirt over her head while the driver decided to pop the clutch ending up with her having concussion and scratched boobs

I will say though this years Summernats was a bit loose, especially up on Main Street Saturday night, there was a couple of silly dicks that run up the arse of the cars in front of them, and so many loose units just popping tyres up there. Good fun👍 I miss the good old wet t shirt comps and the strippers, seen a few sets of titties over the weekend 😁 but nothing like it use to be.

And what if I say that burnouts are eco-friendly? First of all, burnout cars run synthetic fuels like methanol and E85. They burn clean and are renewable. That's kinda what we want our fuel be like in the future, don't we? But for burnouts it is the present. Next, tyre smoke is not CO2 or some other crap. It is a shredded rubber. It isn't even a smoke. Just vaporised rubber. So it isn't harmful for the environment. I'd like to say that you need to do a research before suggesting banning something...

I never really gave any thought to how much the front tires are getting punished in a burnout like this, kinda a sick perspective.
