luna is so pretty!!!!! so jealous of her dapples. the horse i lease now im looking into buying. im was actually looking for some advice pls. shes eight years old, and has a "weak leg" because her owner never used her, so she let a friend who didnt know crap about horses ride her. nevaeh hurt her leg and her owners friend didnt see it, so she kept riding her for a while until her leg was too bad not to notice. and since her owner didnt have enough money to see a vet, she didnt do anything for six months before she started to lease her out. i just started leasing her, and her owner is letting my instructor do lessons on her, and with baby steps, her leg has really improved. but she isnt very well trained so we are teaching her. shes learning fast, and i need some treats to be able to safely give to her without her gaining more weight? (added weight would be bad for her leg but i dont want her to get discouraged) if her leg went from a bad limp to just a little bit of one from exercising/light riding every other day how long will it be before shes competely better? will she ever be competely better? will i ever be able to jump her? since shes up for sale, would she be a good buy? i love this horse so much. shes sweet, good tempered, she learns fast, shes a safe ride, and has been all her life, before the leg too, and most of all, shes the first horse i REALLY bonded with. when i met her it was like something clicked. i really want to buy her, but i dont want a horse i cant do anything with. i hate her owner for letting this happen to her. what do i do?
