The idea that holidays are pagan actually comes from die-hard Protestant fundamentalists in the seventeenth, eighteenth, and nineteenth centuries. In those centuries, many Protestants regarded holidays like Christmas, Easter, All Saints’ Day, etc. as “popery” and therefore sought to discredit them by linking them with ancient paganism. For a serious researcher, perhaps the most difficult aspect of researching these various origins, traditions, and assumed ‘truths’ about holidays, is sifting through all the data and separating what is historical _fact_ from the myth, legend, and, even, religious propaganda by some denominations of what is historical _fiction._ It’s not an easy task. Indeed, what makes this even more difficult, is that so many of these ‘’facts”, suppositions, and assumptions are so ill-researched and have been repeated for so long, that they have essentially become accepted as truth. One can find these asserted ‘facts’ in everything ranging from various educational websites to entries in dictionaries and encyclopedias, and even in (some) scholarly articles which, I think, only makes researching the actual origins quite difficult. People are just repeating what they’ve been told and assume to be true without question. But what we find after close examination and scrutiny, is that the accepted origins and traditions of holidays come from the latter (historical fiction), rather than the former (historical fact). Our holidays are nowhere near as “pagan” as some would like us to believe. When we celebrate Christmas (and other holidays as well), we are definitely participating in a tradition with deep historical roots. But those roots are firmly situated in the medieval Christian past, not an ancient pagan one.
Absolutely agree. Unfortunately the informations from this video on the so-called pagan origins did not provide the specific dates. Instead of "accusing" Christmas and other Christian Celebrations have a deep-rooted to the pagan origins, a real researcher need to have research from the view point of the Church as well, i.e. did the ancient Church up to Medieval ever has an attitude to adapt pagan celebrations, or those dates were originally Christian origins. The information from Wikipedia on Sol Invicti can be used to show how without a which was first promoted in Rome under Elagabalus, without success. Some fifty years later, in 274 CE, Aurelian established the cult of Sol Invictus as an official religion. Instead, Bishop Telesphorus (67-137), Ireneus of Lyon (130-202), Clement of Alexandira (150-210), Julius Africanus (160-240), Demetrius of Alexandria (127-224), etc. had mentioned Christmas on the so called date, according to the calendar they used at that time, which relevant to the Dec 25th on Gregorian Calendar.

Scripture actual says The Messiah was born during Tabernacles and was laid in a Tabernacle not a manger, The Magi didn't even appear at the Tabernacle but 1 1/2 years at the house the child was living in.

The Bible is not the Word of Yehovah what it is ,is a compilation of pagan .Greek fables losing intertwined with Biblical stories. Scripture actual says The Messiah was born during Tabernacles and was laid in a Tabernacle not a manger, The Magi didn't even appear at the Tabernacle but 1 1/2 years at the house the child was living in.
Wrong! Absolutely wrong! Your research is flawed, for paganism was and is still the root of Xmas, intertwined with Christianity. You're oblivious good sir! Stop trying to fool the people, for only you are the fool! All you're doing is trying to save religious face! 😂
