Incredible! A basically undocumented engine swap on a basically forgetten year, by yourself on the side of the road. Absolute legend. The 3.4L is rated for a good 200 ft lbs torque and I think 160 hp. Definitely a lot better than the 2.8L's 150 ft lbs & 115 hp.
It's a 3.4 out of a 94 camaro it's basically a bored and stroked 2.8 everything swaps over with no extra parts I'm gonna add a video going over the swap cause there's hardly any info on it and where there is info it misses a few key points
Hope it's better than the 2.8 those were garbage I blew 3 of them up throw rods mainly one the crank broke into the other two actually just had spun rod bearings but that was in a S10 blazer and the other I went through were put in a S10 pickup hoping this one 3.4 for you is a good one n holds up best of luck
I raced my buddy who's got a high output 4.0 on 33s and he still smoked me I'm gonna be putting a comp cam, roller rockers, and headers and seeing how close it is just for fun then once it blows swap a v8
I was on a road trip when it blew I drove it 7 miles with a hole in the block till it seized when I got home it was seized solid couldnt get it to break free or I wouldve reclined it till it threw the rest the rods
This just gave me the motivation I needed to blow up my 4.0 and swap it. thank you...

The granddaddy of 60 degree v6s! Well actually the 3.9 is that but the 3.4 is the biggest available RWD engine anyhow...

Curious on power, I had the high output 4.0 and it ripped

@@DRC_GARAGE nice
3.5 out of what?
Should have sent the RPM’s to the moon and seen what could’ve happened
I was on a road trip when it blew I drove it 7 miles with a hole in the block till it seized when I got home it was seized solid couldnt get it to break free or I wouldve reclined it till it threw the rest the rods
Isn't the 3.5 way less reliable than the original engine? I'm guessing it was a 3.3?
3.4 I mistyped the title
