Hello! Your vid just popped on my main site but Your intro was enough for me to subscribe. It sens now I’ve got a solid plan for after run recovery RUclips activity 👌🏻
Hey Flora :), sounds like all your tapering plans paid off despite having such a busy lead up to Croatia. Can’t wait to see the vlogs and how fast those trails can be run :)! You did so well 💪🙌🙌
@@FloraBeverleyah it was really great thanks :)! Made it back and felt really strong for days 5 and 6. Just out here for a couple of more days and then heading back home. Counting the days till the next possible tribe reunion now :)
Thanks for the tips! My taper is a work in progress. It's chips (crisps?) on the sofa for 2 weeks, or is 4 days of barely reduced workouts. Moderation is a struggle for me! 😆 wow, those stats for the 4 days are incredible, but I'm sure you'll smash it! Headed over to strava to see the latest run.
Hi flora I ran my 1st 10km race yesterday garmin said 46:28 chip time said 46:34 and I did a 3mile on the Tuesday leading up 2 it and felt fine during and after the race 😊
Hi flora I'm running my first 50k in September it's the ultra x in the Peak District, you were a major inspiration! I love your videos they are and endless source of entertainment and running wisdom. I just wanted to know where your blue running bag is from, I need to upgrade mine xx
Day one sounds awful. No vert in London and I was wiped out after 1KM vertical on a 20KM holiday in Spain. Good luck! You look strong so no doubt will own this.
Don’t tidy up the afternoon before….I put my headtorch in a drawer and forgot, could not find it, improvised, hardly slept…but remembered where in the morning.
Hi, can I ask what vest backpack you're using on the thumbnail for this video. I have problems with my bottles sloshing as they aren't compressed into my chest. Your vest backpack looks like it addresses this problem.
Good luck for Tribe Run for Love, Fingers are crossed for your challenge! Video came in just at the right time - HM Race on Saturday at the amazing #Rennsteiglauf which I can only (once again 😉) highly recommend checking out- the Marathon race has been voted Germany‘s Marathon of the year 6 times in a row and they have a unique 73,9k distance on offer! All through the beautiful scenery of the Thuringan forest 🏕 Maybe one for your Race List next year (which will be the year of the jubiliee - 50th #Rennsteiglauf 🥳 I‘m sure you‘ll smash your runs and thanks again for the Video and all the tips!
My tips: Don't worry about weight gain in the taper. Don't carb load - its superfluous & not needed - taper and your normal diet gets the glycogen in your legs. (in the old days, people use to deplete first to retain more carbs in compesation in carb loading. The problem is the depletion increases your risk of getting sick. So people stopped that but the myth / lore of carb loading still remains)
Yeah, for me if I do, I like a more restful taper bunch of easy runs sounds strange, but I always get sick and then I’m starting my marathon or whatever race feeling under the weather but if I make my sessions like he just said a short, but hard work out to do a lot of strides Maybe some 400 repeats and but keep my volume low I’m using entering into race and I only do it when we keep her to 10 days max but I’m entering into the race refreshed but also I feel strong and still don’t always do good but that’s my problem but I’m only commented because I made it so many mistakes. Like I said, I was always feeling sick and run down.
I'm hoping to run my first ultra next year. Thanks for the great info. Good luck with your races 👍🏻🏃♂️
That'll be awesome! Good luck:)
I'm fully confident that you will complete the 4 marathons Flora. The Croatia scenery will be amazing!
Thank youuuuu - it was!! 😍😍😍
Good luck Flora, you'll do great. Take it steady and have a good time 🙂
Great advices Flora thanks. I'm hopping to run my first ultra at the end of the year. Good luck for your future race to come.
Amazing, good luck with it!
@@FloraBeverley thanks it will be only 80km but my first one
@@Ghimlioak only!! I've never done more than 50 in one day. That's awesome 👌
@@FloraBeverley me neither but I’m doing a 60k in the Pyrénées this summer. Thanks a lot you’re super kind anyway
Actually saw that you were in Croatia! I’m in Croatia too! It’s beautiful here and I commend you for being able to cope with the heat.
Ahhh amazing! I loved the heat but at times it was a bit much!

So exciting, good luck! This is a columbia 7L pack, I love it!

Hahaha you'll have to wait for the vlog! 💀😂

Haha oh no, nightmare!! My room is always a tip when I'm packing, I leave everything out 😅
Ideally I would get a massage week before. Unfortunately, none near me…and can’t afford it!

It's a columbia 7L pack - I love it and yes no sloshing!
Hey!
To stop sloshing, suck all the air out of your water bladder. Then, no matter the level of water there will be no annoying sloshing sounds!

I've only been on the Rennsteig for cross country skiing, but the Rennsteiglauf is on my bucket list. Would be great to have a race vlog 😉👍
