Now Putin copied a Trump rally but with flag wavers ordered to be there rather than people looking bored out of their minds, it makes me wonder.
Surely Americans can see the parallels even if they don't realise that Putin translated is pure Hitler

By Tucker's logic, if he saw a child or woman, for example, being assaulted by someone that had never assaulted Tucker, nor called him an icky name, or committed any other transgression against him, he'd do nothing to stop the crime or make any attempt whatsoever to defend or save the victim. Apparently, the cruel murders of women and children are no skin off Tucker's nose. He'll never be confused with someone with moral character.

Really, Fred, it seems like you have some washer woman's idea of the Geopolitical Situation. What are individual lives in comparison to the destiny of Nations and of Peoples. Look at Russia's situation, where Russia is being surrounded and engulfed by the USA World Hegemony and a Free World that is only as free as Dollar Sanctions will allow. Look how the USA somehow required every major central bank on Earth to put their interest rates at the IMPOSSIBLE Negative, their banks Losing by Lending, all so the US Dollar wouldn't collapse by going almost to zero. Think about what the USA must have been doing behind closed doors to pressure that kind of a international sacrifice. The Free World does not love us. the Free World is afraid of us. Putin plunged Russia into a Crisis, yes, but the only other alternative was to be slowed up by the West. But now that Russia has broken free, well, China will now welcome an Alliance with Russia, being confident that Russia will never ever be able to GO BACK and play them off against the West. Then look at just the Size of the New Eastern Block: China, Russia, Iran, many nations in Africa and South and Central America. Russia, after some Second Birth pangs will end up okay. Meanwhile, people like you are screaming for War. Do you really think that is really so enlightened, you old Washer Woman.

This is all part of a larger problem that has been festering for most of human history: As long as free markets continue to unintentionally enable dictators, they have no incentive to reform. And, punitive sanctions don't work because they encourage defiance and retaliation.
If free countries really want to save democracy, it is time to create an economic coalition in which free countries implement a CONSISTENT, INCENTIVE BASED POLICY of massive taxes on ALL imports, with waivers given only to other free countries, and incremental discounts linked to democratic reforms in less free countries. This policy would cost consumers nothing if it was offset by domestic tax reductions, so there really is no excuse to not start immediately.

Al and Michael, like myself, probably know at least a couple of Holocaust survivors. Most of them adamantly refused to ever buy or use a product made in Germany for the rest of their lives. They would not drive a Mercedes or Volkswagon, or shave or make coffee with a Braun product, use a Staedtler colored pencil, etc. To do *anything* that gave a penny to the nation that murdered their family members was akin to dishonouring those relatives and friends. Will those Ukrainians who survive this atrocity, whether in Ukraine or elsewhere, EVER stoop to buying or using a Russian product ever again? How many decades before they will forgive? Whatever "brotherhood" existed between Ukraine and Russia has been squandered.

I am struck though by the contrast with the devastation and human rights violations in the massive destruction of Yemen and all the sweet women and men and children there who have not gotten one hundredredth of the empathy and support mustered so far for the suffering people of Ukraine. The blonde hair color is often mentioned as an adjective as people try to paint a picture of the suffering of the Ukrainian people and the valiant actions of the women in particular. We need to feel the same for the not blonde Yemeni people who are being bombed by bombs that are being built inMichigan or Arkansas or wherever dropped by Saudi Arabian aggressors.

African women get gang raped by opposition & forgive & go on. I fought againt women being circumcised her in USA & cant believe it just happened in Canada. Man brought God in that 1 too. So, what if Mexico allowed Russian to build a military base about 50 miles south of El Paso? Do you think the US government would object? Do you think the US would invade Mexico to put a stop to it? HInt: Yes. Yes they would. Well, I don't know for sure we would invade. But I know what Kennedy did when Russia tried to build a base in Cuba. He violated international laws, and he threatened to start WWIII. But for some reason, Americans wonder why Russia is not happy with the half-dozen US-funded military bases literally on their borders. Go figure.

@@gregmark1688 Interesting you are looking out for our sworn enemy's interest and not our own. Mexico is a democratic country and wouldn't help Putin. Cube was a communist country and still is. So you blame Kennedy for Bay of Pigs? What would you have done? Free geopolitical lessons for you. BTW, Putin doesn't have a succession plan because, if you recall, like Xi, these dictators changed the law for them to stay in power forever. Who cares if Russia isn't happy with how things are now? When Putin took over at the end of cold war we had high hopes he'd turn the country around and thus didn't interfere with how Russia was run after Putin took over. Well, we were too optimistic... Thx Mr. Franken. Putin and his enemies in the Kremlin should take this man's opinion seriously. Cesarian hubris always ends bloody. Putin February 2022 could very well be Lenin's October 1917. Where I disagree is...Putin is of healthy mind.
