I just started treating my yard with Turf Titan stuff and yeah man.. you can see pretty much the next few days the diff. I used lawn advancer first then lawn kelper, but I spread it out over a few weeks. I am waiting to use my drought defender and next step of lawn advancer. I have been using the hose end sprayer bottles and found if I turned down the flow with a regulator on the end of my hose, I got a lot more out of it and didn't feel as rushed. I got a sprayer for fathers day so looking forward to mixing all that good good together and crushing my neighborhood.

I like using both. A quick release granular in the early spring to load up the soil for when the grass comes out of dormancy looking for tons to eating up a slow release organic around mid June with spoon feeding liquid every two weeks to maintain color.
My liquid mix is DEF, iron, PGR and micro nutrient fert. Then I switch out the DEF for liquid sea kelp to help with the summer heat. I also lay down hydretain on June first.
In the fall every week I alternate between granular quick release nitrogen and my liquid application putting the DEF back in.

If you use the Ortho hose end sprayer, you can adjust how much product is coming out. There are also different nozzle settings. It also waters at a controlled rate of 2 gpm.

I did see a video where you called a friend and he said wait 4 hours after spraying to water in, is 4 too much as you did 1 hour here? My water system is an under turf system so I always have to hand water the fertilizer in, so the timing is important for me. Thank you for all the great information.
4 hours is def great if you have time! I just did an hour cause it was getting late 😂😂😂🤙🏾 I hate watering at night but it’s better than nothing for sure 😊🤙🏾

Great job! Not sure what hazards the MSDS sheets lists for the various chemicals used. I do see that you are using protective gloves during the mixing process. However, with weekly exposure, I question your exposed arms and lack of a respirator to filter the aerosol from being drawn into your lungs. The latest Roundup court cases where hazards were not listed and people began developing lymphoma come to mind. Maybe nothing to worry about but with chronic exposure, it's worth the question. Just don't want anything bad to happen to you - you seem like such a wonderful person that loves life!

Hello man great video as always! I’m a beginner, would like to star using a backpack sprayer and this video was a perfect 🤙You mention to use citríc acid on the sprayer due to hard water! I have a water softener n wanted to ask if I can use water from the softener ?? I have a water spigot build in tho the water softener to wash my car 😂 and is not hard water
Oh.. you know I’m new to the hard water conversion game 😂 but if the ph level is 6 to 6.5 you should be good but just check to see the compatibility with the softener chemical to your lawn 😊🤙🏾👊🏾🙏🏾

I’ve been using these all season long! I think I started in April 😊 It’s the best my lawn has ever been! Turf Titan really stands up the grass and you can’t complain about the color.. amazing! 😊👊🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾
I used a Scott's spreader to put some AMS down that was granular.. Scott's spreaders suck, I have nice fertilizer stripes in my lawn i'm going back to my sprayer. I can spray my grass and feed it foliarily. This way if the soil is not that great the grass IS still fed..
Same thing with me, Scott’s spreaders are terrible, made my lawn look like a big fucking green candy cane. Lol
same here, my scott's mini spreader is weak. what a weird dial turner. my grass look like bald.

What time of day should I be spraying my liquid fert + iron? My lawn has dew, or moisture on it from early morning irrigation in the morning. Is that the time to spray?
I mean it varies usually you want to spray before water but if it’s too early later in the afternoon but then you’ll be watering at night.. it’s not horrible cause it’s not like you spray everyday… I would just spray when it’s not cooking outside or before your water time 😊👊🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾
If you want grass like a golf course putting green buy a roller and you’ll see a big difference when you cut your lawn 😊

For someone that’s new to spraying fertilizer, would it be ok or advised to use a dye to see where you have already applied? I’ve seen a lot of people suggest it when applying tenacity, but not so much fertilizers. What are your thoughts?

Yes I will def do a granular video soon but pretty much it's Milorganite end of winter, end of spring, middle of summer, month before halloween and before winter, in between those is ironite a month apart.... granular ammonium sulfate beginning of spring and beginning of fall. Granualr 16-16-16 or 18-18-18 or 20-20-20 every 6 weeks starting in spring ending November as well. That's what I used to do and the lawn was still dominating but not like liquid fert does! 😊🤙🏾

Get some turf Titan and apply it it’s the easiest way and I’m seeing crazy results! I was using gs plant foods but this turf Titan has changed the lawn completely! I mean I’m doing Turf Titan 6 step once a month and a different brand 18-18-18 ( lawn supply co) and Turf Titan lawn striper weekly! Best my lawn has ever looked 😊🙏🏾👊🏾🤙🏾

Also, after applying product , do you do a thorough cleaning of your sprayer and lines with clean water?
That is just a good practice even for liquids with very little residue
Yes I always run water after and clean! Tips have never clogged since I run at least a gallon through after a spray 😊🤙🏾🔥🙏🏾👊🏾
You could attach the hose end sprayer and spray into your backpack sprayer and apply that way, just an idea 🤷🏽

What exactly are you doing to the backpack sprayer to calibrate it? I have 2500sq.ft in my front and rear yard and I figured out the pace I need to walk to get the 2.5 gallons down as needed.
Petra HD4000 can be calibrated from 40-70 psi 😊🤙🏾

Def not at the hottest time of the day usually late afternoon but then your watering at night but it’s not like your doing this everyday… when it’s humid here I hit the lawn with some fungicide just to be safe … Scott’s disease ex one month and bio advanced the next month just to be safe 😊👊🏾🙏🏾🤙🏾

Hey brah! I just laid new KBG sod about a month ago, wondering what product(s) you would recommend that I should be using if any right now? I just laid down some milorganite last week and I did notice a bit of clover popping up in a few spots so not sure what is good for weeds or if its too early to be putting down chemicals on the new lawn. I find that the products I use clogs my Dewalt back pack sprayer’s internal filter. Do you have that issue?
There are single use paper funnels with fine mesh screens in them that might help you.
Don't get the super fine!
Folks that spray house paint use these filter funnels.
Do not get the ones for car paint.
Your products might have sat for a while before you bought them, maybe pour them into a pail and mix the heck out of them?

Run a bunch of water through it to clean it… then use a gallon of hot hot water that really helps too 😊👊🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾🔥

Make sure your clearing it after every use and adjust the pressure knob until it’s draining the whole tank! The silver knob 😊👊🏾🙏🏾🤙🏾

For the root booster if you have a sensitive nose plug your nose first lol. That stuff is nasty. Yard brah do you ever have issues with the app where it bugs out and won't work. I can still use the actual machine on the faucet but app is a bit flakey.
