- It's simple to make a SOLID COPPER Welding Ground Clamp for a couple of bucks. This clamp will outperform even the expensive $30 clamps!
Here's the 2" Pony brand clamp I used, but I recommend you get it from Lowe's, it was 99 cents there. Harbor Freight has similar clamps for a couple of bucks (but probably not as strong).
Prices at Amazon have a gotten a little crazy lately, yeh? Looks like they are really charging what the traffic will bear, and with the stimulus payments, that's a lot. Check out the inflation rate that you have experienced and see if it compares with the official government figure of 1.7%. Ha. I think it's more like 20%. I used to go to Amazon automatically because they always had the best prices, but no more. Now, I shop around a lot more: amzn.to/3bTBMUi

Copper tubing (but you only need a foot)...or check ACE Hardware: amzn.to/30QLaBH - Хобби
I knew I was going to have to do something like this. I just checked my clamp and for sure, the copper-plated bits are magnetic. I figured they'd be aluminum, but steel is pretty terrible. Goofy as all getout we can't even buy something this good and this is less expensive than the cheapest clamp! lol Subscribed!
This is perfect. Thank you
Glad you like it!
What about the connector between the copper tubing and the cable? Does that limit some of the conductivity not being copper as well?
Termination lugs are made from nickel plated copper.
Prefect!
Copper plating. I bought some pot and pan scrubber wool. Copper plating comes off with light scrubbing. And you end up with rust if left on edge of stainless steel sink.
It's real hard to find stainless steel scrubbers. Restaurant supply stores.
Electro plated junk-Consumer abuse.
