Being a foreigner I love Cagayan De Oro. Lim Kit Kai Mall is ok but I prefer SM Downtown Mall Now the flood defence is open for cycling or walking it nice to walk along the at the side of the river. One thing you could try is the white water rafting along the Cagayan De Oro River from Uptown area. As your going to bukidnon I would recommend Del Monte Golf Course Restautant I love sitting there watching the golfers and also the Dahilyan resort
I really love the fact filipino people are welcoming, i was lost in cotabato😂, some random dude gave me a ride for free then i asked him if he would like to pick me up when ill travel back to the airport snd i said i ll pay him, he refused to take my money then i said please he took the money and gave me the ride next day to cagayan 😂.

if you are on a budget, try the underrated FS Catanico Falls. Only about 15 min drive from the CBD but you need a local to visit there.
