"TRIGGER JR." (1950) Pt 1/1 Roy Rogers & Dale Evans

Roy Rogers and his travelling circus rodeo troupe get delayed by a desert storm and stop at the Harkrider ranch. Colonel Harkrider (George Cleveland) used to be Roy's father's partner in their old circus act. They decide to spend the Winter at the Harkrider ranch, hoping that the Colonel will renew his interest in the circus after the death of his dauther during her bareback riding act. The daughter's son, Larry, has been afraid of horses ever since which makes his Grandpa call the boy cowardly. The bigger problem in the area, however, is the Range Patrol. They charge all the ranchers high fees for "protection" to keep the herds seperate. They do nothing and are the prime suspects in the stock rustling that is going on. Patrol leader, Manson, has released a killer horse who attacks different herd's lead horse and kills them. When Trigger fights the "Phantom" and becomes blinded by a hit on the head, Roy and Trigger Jr., have to step in and bring the villians to justice!
