So Mead that tastes like Cherry pie? Sounds beautiful and man lovely colour in there! You should do some video-game theme brews sometime! I'm thinking of doing it! Love your ear rings! Lemons will be proud!
I adore a dry tart cherry country wine with cinnamon, but alas my family does not. I tried a cherry lime that was well liked but this may be my next cherry adventure hoping to bring my family to the dark (cherry) side 😉
I usually watch a few videos from some ones channel to see if I want to subscribe. I want to make sure I generally and genuinely enjoy their content. I also want to make sure they post on a fairly regular basis. So I wouldn’t judge to harshly on how many subscribers one video pulls in.
Your recipe is awesome and will go very high.of course it will be very tasty to eat.😋 I love it .I will definitely try it.You will tell me in the comments. How do you like my recipe?Thanks.*.👍👏🍀🍂
Really Enjoyed your Video , and I think You Talk just fine . Kind of like the Girl next Door kind of Thing . I Really Love 💕 that Purple Outfit , and the Yellow one too . You go Girl , do Your Thang ! 🐯🤠
Fae, please get rid of that damned rubber band! Just wipe off the inside lip of the jug and the outside of the bung with a clean dry paper towel and the bung will stick like it's superglued. And please stop putting yourself through the torture of trying to back-sweeten into a jug. Try racking into a wide-mouth jar just before back-sweetening, then add the honey into that while you carefully stir it with a spoon to dissolution. I put mine on a scale so I can weigh everything that is going in. Also, I back-sweeten using a squeeze bottle; it just makes it so easy to be precise while I'm watching the scale. Add and taste until it's good, then take gravity reading. Then back to the jug it goes. Once you start weighing the honey that goes into the back-sweetening, you will start to have a much better idea of exactly how much honey to use to get where you're going. I'm glad to know that the lactose is working well. I have never used lactose, but I have some recipes I've created that I need to use it in. Please keep up with the awesome videos. Your creativity will grow your audience.
I was always nervous about like... un-santizing my bung by wiping it off! But you're right, it does work better that way - I've started doing it. I am keeping better notes as far as pre-recording goes to keep track of what needs to be done next and what makes sense. It is frustrating racking into a carboy and then remembering that I should have used a wide mouth instead.
@@FaewoodMeadAwesome! I'm glad to see that you've gotten over your fear of contaminating your brew and can now have an easier process of securing the bung/jug seal. In addition, I'm glad to see you have decided to reevaluate your note taking processes. I myself was guilty of just jumping into things without completely thinking em through, but I learned that it was best to at least go through the process in my mind first, or even better write it down, though I always kept good recipe notes (I'm kinda extreme, as I even weigh my yeast, he he). Anyway, can't wait to see what you come up with next! Keep the videos coming!
@@littlebones88 Haha, I've thought of weighing my yeast too, just to be able to dose out nutrients more accurately I'm tired of being such a mess all of the time! I'm really trying to be better! Thank you!
I'm just a dude making guesses here so take it for what it is. I think if you want to grow, you will probably gain from learning to talk a bit more fluent, if that is the right word. If you can practice to sound a bit more structured, a bit less "umm, uh, aaah, why did I come here today again? Ah yes mead! Got you! So uh mead is kind of a drink from honey and uh you... Get happy? And uh.. yeah I made a mead yesterday.. no yesteryear! It tastes like honey but maybe also... Duck? Did I add duck?" I like you as is but I think you would gain followers just from that. Listen to how other big youtubers talk, even if there is no script. Good luck!
I’m working on becoming more organized, this video was exceptionally messy as far as that goes. I’m also not a professional speaker, and I created this channel for fun. If I have to hyper focus on everything I’m saying in the moment, for fear of judgement- it’s no longer fun. You could be correct of course in thinking if I approached my channel in a much more structured, classroom like setting, that I could gain more of a viewership. I will take your comment into consideration.
FYI 8 teaspoons equals 2 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons.

Hahaha, thank you so much! I have thought about doing that - I'm obsessed with Skyrim.
Nice. I'm gonna try this out.
The recipe sounds very interesting! Best wishes for everything!
Thanks Riu
Lactic acid will also add creaminess to your mead, but I'm guessing the cherry already carries enough malic acid to not need to add any extra acids.
Yeah I got a bit confused there.

We need more Percy content.
The mead looks great, and I might try it.
But tiny animals are beloved more than the mead.
I know, he’s a sweet boi ❤️

I noticed you stirring with a bottling wand, were you using that just because it was available or did you use that to take a sample?
Haha, I need an actual stirring stick. The bottling wand is just an easy tool fit me right now.
I would have used lactose I. This for the creamy flavour
just put the honey in a sauce pan over low heat to liquefy it. No need to add more water and dilute your ABV more than necessary.
Could do a double boil aswell. Sauce pan with water then put your bowl with the honey in the water.

Thanks Tiger Pat, you’re awesome!
I know the amount of lactose is to taste, but how much did you add?
3/4 tsp - would have been handy to actually weigh it I suppose!

nah, rubber band is easier
@@nickjqueen How do you figure? I'd rather have something that works properly, rather than "rigging it". Drying the surfaces makes it work properly.
