Nice video. One thing is that the 1.0 is missing a drag handle which can be important for quick man down extractions right? But I think an addon can be found or there's also the Spiritus recovery handle for that
Cole, thank you so much for this video man- I'm 5'9 and 200lbs- I went with a Medium JPC based off of what I was reading from your input in the comments-
I’m trying to decide between the JPC 1.0 vs 2.0 vs Mayflower APC. I heard that the JPC 1.0’s plate bags run smaller. So a JPC 1.0 size Large is needed to fit most medium plates . I believe CRYE fixed this sizing issue in the 2.0. Can anyone confirm this?
Thank you for explaining the practicality of the back panel. That was going to be the deciding factor in my purchase. I agree, I don't see myself using a zip up back panel, I just thought it was a cool feature.

Civvy with a bunch of time on both the JPC 2.0 and the SPC here. If you have a JPC already, either 1.0 or 2.0, I wouldn't really bother going to an SPC unless you have a maritime context. In some ways, it's an upgrade. But in other ways, the SPC has some strange design decisions that can be frustrating to work around. The most common problems are the oddly high placard mounting points, limited PTT real estate, and the potential need for fabric plate coverings (ex S&S Precision SOCS). The most standout pro of the SPC is the cost: you get an JPC 2.0 feature suite for only $169--assuming you already own a Crye-compatible cummerbund and front flap. As Mr Gillespie has already pointed out, this could very well be a negative point if you don't already have these components on hand. Other than that, you get unmatched water drainage, incredible water resistance, and probably the best-in-class ratio of durability-to-lightness.
