This song and album is so amazing, it's like a precious little gem. I found it in a box of old records my friend's mom was giving away. I love this so much.
Hearing this song without the music video for a year, and then watching this completely contrasting video of War does such a great job of putting yourself in perspective. Life is an art to be good at, and war is the complete and disgusting misunderstanding of that idea. The destruction of it

Album made me reflect on my life, although my condition is worsening and I can feel myself become more and more numb. This album gave me some peace from my own screaming mind. I only wish to see someone unite us all in my lifetime, the same way I wished to do if it had not been for these unfortunate series of events.
One of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. It's like love dressed as a song, makes me feel so grateful and hopeful, a bittersweet glimpse of life and the beautiful memories flashing through my eyes... Thank you
Lyrics [Verse 1] The sun in the morning Comes over the hill And kisses the tall grass beside me [Chorus] We are so young at heart And living is an art To be good at [Verse 2] We get our strength in the day time By the sun's golden rays That lasts us into the night time We find ourselves in many ways [Verse 3] The sun in the morning A new day’s a dawning Look out your window And see yourself walking Through fields of love And the sky up above Is with you [Chorus] [Bridge] Oh God we love you How can we say? We love you We love you [Outro] How can these bodies say?

Capo on 4th fret, all chords I use are what the chords would be if there was no capo. Cmaj7 Fmaj7 (Dave hammers on the the first fret of the B string) then Cadd9 once before switching back to Cmaj7 Second chorus to the bridge is the same but he hammers on the first fret high E as well as the on the B string, maybe throw in a Cadd9 a few times. Final chord is an A major. Hope that makes sense.
“For this commandment that I command you today is not too hard for you, neither is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend to heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ But the word is very near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it. “See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil. If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you today, by loving the Lord your God, by walking in his ways, and by keeping his commandments and his statutes and his rules, then you shall live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to take possession of it. But if your heart turns away, and you will not hear, but are drawn away to worship other gods and serve them, I declare to you today, that you shall surely perish. You shall not live long in the land that you are going over the Jordan to enter and possess. I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.”
He would play this and other songs from this album when he was a minister at a chuch I attended (Church of Latter Day Saints). The very core of the church was filled with sex orgies that the ministers put on. A very dark religion. I'm not sure if he was embroiled in the cult or not, but it is a very scary and dangerous church. I hope he left it.
