Another cool set to use in place of Lunar Bastion could be Vrol's Command; you're already heavy attacking so you don't have to do anything special, and, you give your entire team a 10% damage resist over a damage shield. And if you want more damage shields, slot Bone Surge, and give your allies an additional 16% healing taken with a synergy. Love these builds
Great video, thanks very much for this. Recently came back to ESO and started playing my Templar healer with light armour and I was sick of getting one popped off veteran bosses so this helps loads!
Everyone has a hissy fit when they find out your a healer using sword & board with heavy armor. Just did all vet pledges (all DLC dungeons) with this and 2DDs, no tank but no one died. The mag recovery is insane, you literally have unlimited heals. And this is why we love Xynode, showing us the stuff that know one else knows
Can't remember if anyone already said this, but just a quick note sometimes people will spam Grand healing because of the master Resto staff sustained bonus for the group. They are reading their weapon description they will wait 4 or 5 seconds to cast it again and then that maximizes resource Restore for the group. But I fully agree with you people have a bad habit of spamming things that last for a duration and should only do so if it gives some benefit and they can keep up with it
Something that's worth keeping in mind, is the fact that resto staff skill-line abilities do not activate the resto staff's glyph. The light and heavies do, of course. But it's not like 2h, DW or S&B, where just using any weapon-skill can activate your glyph(s). It's a shame ZOS hasn't added glyphs specifically for healers which _DO_ activate on resto staff abilities, or simply allow the non-damaging aspects of existing weapon glyphs to be applied to the recipients of our resto staff abilities, or...something other than just pretending the issue doesn't exist. How cool would it be to activate your damage shield weapon glyph on whoever you cast Ward Ally on, or apply the recovery aspect of your weapon glyph on the entire group via Illustrious Healing?

How much damage reduction does 215 weapon damage apply to a veteran dungeon boss? I have never been able to find solid info on how much weapon damage any given monster has... but 215 weapon damage seems low for a 5 piece debuff, infused weakening gives you 450 weapon damage reduction. Probably more effective against trash mobs.
I'd just like to point out that you have to be careful with Luminous Shards and Healing Orb. Unless they changed/fixed it in the patch, you can't stack both synergies--you can only use 1 at a time.
He does mention this - that they share a cooldown. Because of that, he mentions that a good tactic is to drop shards on the tank, and orbs for everyone else, since the orbs synergy can be taken by multiple people and shards happens to restore both resource pools. It's in the video.
Okay... i have a question - with what gear could i replace these sets to reach similar, but maybe weaker effects? Because im kinda new to the game, and i don't think i'll be running trials anywhere soon enough to actually plan this kind of gear in.
What those Trial/Dungeon sets do is basically give you additional methods to buff or heal others. If your Healer is a Templar, you're already filled to the brim with Class and Weapon abilities that do the same thing more or less, so you can get by easily with just using crafted gear, or from overland zones. Gear that boosts max magic and spell damage, that you'd usually find on damage dealers, can also work with Healers since the power of Healing abilities scales off the same stats as damage abilities do. How exactly do you position yourself to keep everybody buffed with this build? "Healer in back" is to catch everyone in Combat Prayer, where are you putting that or are you using something different?
100% depends on the fight not a "you must do this all the time" the build is designed to be relatively close but as already explained in the video, the fight will depend on where you stand.
@@xynodegaming What I mean is, are you default to the standard ESO position of healer - DPS - boss - tank unless something hinky happens and you swoop in to save the day, or are you doing something different?

How do you make your UI so small ? I always found the controller UI to be way too big
go into video options, you can scale your UI from there, It's only been an option about a year
I'd love to see you do a Necromancer healer build. Ty
@@xynodegaming Well, relative to the DPS and the tank. Standard, in back positioning until something goes wrong?
@@PeacefulPorcupine relative to the fight and its mechanics.
@@xynodegaming What I mean is, are you default to the standard ESO position of healer - DPS - boss - tank unless something hinky happens and you swoop in to save the day, or are you doing something different?
@@PeacefulPorcupine I know what you mean, but you are looking for a straight answer where there isn't one. This build is designed to be fairly close, if you have to go ranged you can and there are options for that, but the CONTENT determines where you can and cannot stand. Not every group situation is the same. Some are static, some are mobile, some are heavy mechanics, some are stack and burn. Adapt vs the situation, there is not "default position" although again, this is designed to not be hiding at the back of the room ;)
All information is in the video, enjoy!
Hello is there a non trial set up you could suggest
Wow, I love this build. Great job :) A question, unless I missed something. Are there any particular alternative sets you found good while testing, that can be used until we farm ones that you listed? I like the sets that you mentioned in the build, but I need to use someting while farming them XD. Love the build. Keep up the great work, and CHEERS!
Honestly if you can already play content, don't farm a set to farm a set. Just go get it hehe ;)
Thank you so much glad you enjoyed the video!
That said, the two sets that came to mind looking at this were powerful Assault (medium, but the resto staff is stupidly cheap and jewels aren't bad), and either Undertaker (minor lifesteal on anything you damage, overland N Elsweyr) or Drake's Rush (lots of ult, perfect for 4-person stuff, dungeon Black drake Villa)
Kagrenac is super nice, Magnus Gift or Seducer is also easy to get. It also adds ton of sustain. I run heavy with no sustain issue in pvp
Or you can farm it on another character.
@@totam7631 I would, but I only have one character :)
Do you think a heavy armour build would work on a warden healer?
I know I'm late to the party but is this build viable with a bow?
I think I only played a heavy armor healer in pvp.
Hi just moved over from wow holydin and things a lot different here could you kindly do us a favour and update the gear choice thanks as i am used to having toons wearing plate :) stay safe and well
The gear is still currently still fine, no update required ;)
Also welcome to the channel and ESO!
What race would be best for this build?
Anything need to be changed?
Tysm, with the help of this build I now was able to heal naa
What's that style you're wearing?
.....Templar love
will this work on an imperial? :)
Are there alternate set(s) of armor/gear that would work?
The point of the build presentation is the overall setup, however if you want to use other stuff that is 100% up to you but you will of course get different results. :)
@@xynodegaming What if the trial sets are not available to me yet? I need to know what alternate heavy set you would either wear or craft please. I can do Prayer Shawl weapons and jewelry but don't see a good fit-alternate for the heavy set. TIA
@@GrandmaTheGamer The two sets that sprang to mind for ME was Undertaker (Overland N Elsweyr heavy, puts Minor Lifesteal on everything you damage) and Drake's Rush (Heavy dungeon, Black Drake, loads and loads of ult for a 4 person group).
My first character was/is a heavy healer. I always wear Kagernacs Hope for the Rez speed. The other sets I’ve changed several times. Tbh all the healing sets are about the same. Earthgore is a good monster helm.
Is this still viable in necrom and is it possible to solo with this?
Just wondering, could you do this with necro?
I love how passionate you get about the light armour skills line xD Anyway, thanks for the build. I'm super excited to try it out! Would you mind asking me what is it that makes your weapons shine in the purple/pink colour?
The jewellery and the weapons set (mending) makes the pink glow when you swap bars
@@xynodegaming thanks!
Does this work with Bretons as well?
other set to use until farm lunar bastion?
u can use spell cure .. (or just use alcastq guide, that gear is easy to get than this) once you get that gear, got to craglon and ask in zone ofr nAA and nMOL trails
out of curiosity, how would i go about working towards this build on my templar?
Level up a templar. Go farm gear when you feel like you like. Simple as that. Everything can be gained on normal difficulty apart from monster helm.
