Great video! Love what you said about respecting the fish and being a good steward to the resource...basic principles of fishing that were passed down to me by my father. Based on the number of dried up sea robins and dogfish I’ve seen in the sand on the walk back to the truck, apparently many so-called fishermen have missed this very lesson.
Hey you are 100% right from beginning to end in this video from using eels to respecting the fishery. I just wish more people would do the same but unfortunately it’s mainly the ones that aren’t into fishing that are disrespectful the most to fishing. To bad we can’t use them for bait.

I've gotten to a point where I'll never fish at night for stripers without bringing live eels. Sure, I'll bring a small plug bag. But fishing at night with eels is like trolling the tube & worm during the day. Sometimes that's just all they want.

Please make a video on optimal, moon phases, sun sets, wind and wave direction and water temp, as these are major components to landing large bass.

You just mention few essentials to find the fish, all you need next is, either hire a guide that can put you in front of the fish, or find some extratime in the water. Keep few notes or logs is the next gate entrance way for a better timing to reach to your next cow in your local spots that only you know by the next season.
One more thing. SB Migratory patterns are predictable in the east coast, as soon as you hear big fish was caught 100 miles either south or north from you, get out as much as you can, day or night, either is Christmas Day to 4 of July, you get out and fish smart not too hard.

I fish recreationally I try and get the most out of my time out in the water after my first year I started taking notes but there's so much to learn and so little time so I'll take anything down anyone's willing to give
Read read read. Not just magazines. Zeno has several solid publications. Skinner as well. DJ muller, William muller, Alberto knie...many others. I'm no expert and have only been surf fishing about a decade but books have helped me tremendously.
Great video. Would love to see a video on different ways to rig dead or live eels. I only know how to hook a live one through the mouth and eye, but the distance of the cast is torture.

HELP!! Why is it so hard for me to find non level wind reels for sale online? All I can find is people debating on which reels they prefer. Love the channel!
It’s the fisherman not the lure, agree.. I’m 100% on the fly since 2003, no need to put a large profile pattern when large fish is around, you just need knowledge to find them and bring their interest to your fly. Thank you for sharing.

Fishing 50 years and just so tired of guys who say theyre "targeting " large fish. No s#!+ , really? Dont we all?!!. I would rather get shorts all day, than flog the surf for one large. Zeno, you hit it on the head.
