Radiant Warden Handles allow you to deflect projectiles with whiplash. There's little point to deflect a single projectile (you may as well use Dauntless shield), but I have a strong feeling against other bosses that have multiple projectile attacks these handles will be insane 👀
I love these things, they helped fight those Grims on high.

Thanks mate! I hope your enjoying the changes as much as I am. While I do love 2018 barehanded options, this game encourages the use of your blades and axe more. Now the meta is build frost or immolation and use the corresponding (opposite) weapon = profit
@@SmvR i miss agile strike but I understand why they removed it, forces players to focus on the more cinematic/cool looking weapon based skills. considering all the stuff they’ve added, I’m ok with agile strikes absence.
I have no issues with Duel weilding/runic canceling being gone/harder to do because I’m honestly not a fan of seeing the game’s animations glitched.

@@adler_tavares Yes, it's a unique perk called Whiplash Deflection. It's on the upgraded blades handles called Radiant Warden Handles, shown at the end of the video.

I love the easy deflect whiplash option makes dealing with ranged enemies so much easier to deal with. I’m surprised there isn’t an SMVR Easter egg in the game lol

I'm slowly working through my first play through and I'm a bit torn. I really like the element system as it is since it really encourages the use of multiple weapons as well as how you spec them, but at the same time it really takes away from the immersion. I played most of the game so far in full immersion before finally giving up and switching to showing health bars because otherwise it felt impossible to balance elements especially with late game runic errors. Thoughts?

@SmvR I guess you noticed too that if we parry a certain combo from her and try to attack right away we get punished, therefore you did parry twice instead of tapping L1 to bash her after parry, which I've been doing too.
Feels different than old parry that u felt safe after one, seems like we have less invincible frames now.

Once you get your old shield back the invicibility frames also come back

While I do love 2018’s combat, Ragnarok is simply a much more refined version that offers a lot more variety (weapons signature abilities, shields, parrying continues attack strings etc).

Ragnarok’s gameplay is much more refined and smoother than 2018. Only now your creativity has to be within the gameplay mechanics, since the attacks that gave you invincibility frames in 2018 are no longer there in Ragnarok

Does anyone else have a problem using the realm shift armor against travelers specifically? When you dodge their side attacks and the realm shift activated as though you have dodged, I consistently still get hit while the slow time affect is active. Doesn’t happen with the travelers top attack or any other enemies in the game, at least from what I’ve noticed.
I haven’t fought travellers yet but this happened in 2018 as well. Another reason not to use realm shift 😁
