Thank you so much for the Sky Towers review! It can be unlucky at times.
We'll need to play Quoridor together! Still in my top 3 25 years after discovering it!
Cascadero - agree with your comments. I played it last night for the first time - and feel like there is still a lot to learn about this game. (I didn’t even manage to get to the top of my own colour lane).
Yep. Looking forward to exploring it :)
Yeah, I’m fascinated by it as well. Seems like there’s a really high skill cap. And I was really surprised how different my two plays at 3 player were. One, the competition was felt mostly on the board and achievements came early and quick. The other, it was more about the tracks.
Is Through the Desert getting its individual review? Curious if you already have a preference between Cascadero and TTD. I am definitely thinking of picking one up
I'll probably review it in a compilation (possibly in tandem with Cascadero/Cascadito).
Match of the Century kind of sounds like a card driven war game. Was curious how this one was gonna play!
Love Seasons, but I agree that Vale of Eternity kind of killed the card play aspect of that game, which is a very strong, fun aspect to Seasons. Still happy to play it though!
I prefer the Agora expansion too for 7 Wonders Duel.
I am seriously evaluating The Match of Century post your recommendation. I feel it’s somewhat like Air Land and Sea (Cards having some action to take) with tug of war element and with a pinch of tension of playing a chess game. Paolo Mori has been on a role with Caesar and Blitzkrieg. For 7 Wonders Agora i feel its was making the game a bit too heavy on mechanism diverting the game play from the core mechanism of the game. Also wanted to ask if checked out Catsle Builders (from Japan) and what are your views for the same.
I liked Match of the Century at first, but found that certain cards make the game seriously unbalanced in Spassky's favor.
I doubt it. There is no indication that this an issue. Maybe play with other people and check if the issue persists.
You doubt that I find the game unbalanced? LOL
@@evanhaut no, don’t be dense. I doubt the game is unbalanced
