Having now seen their trip into the past, the way Ard and Lydia interact makes sense. They clearly loved each other very much, but neither was willing to act on it in their era. ...So the end result was sorrow for both.
He kinda got friend zoned at the end too lol, but I'm happy she at least told him their relationship wouldn't change no matter what would happen

I dunno why but I really do love this genre/trope of superbadass reborn/senttoanotherworld as a ordinary person (yet still superbadass).

If he could seal his power to be average from his time, why didn’t he seal a bit more to be average in the new time he is in now?
Maybe he didn't know how weak people actually are in this time. Maybe he sealed his powers before or while resurrection so he had to guess how.much weaker humanity would have gotten after all those years.

In the light novel made it that he would be an average human based on humans in his time. He didn't realize that his absence would make everyone weaker.
He can't modify his body's parameters after his Soul has been crammed into it already; he can only release more of the power contained in his Soul, but he can't actually weaken it anymore by increasing the amount of power blocked. He'd have to retool the entire parameters, which would mean he'd have to eject his vessel & create a new one w/ the retooled parameters & then yeet his Soul into it again

This anime has one of the most BS titles i've ever seen, typical nobody my @$$, Why couldn't he really reborn as a nobody with normal person's skills and work from there with his knowledge to improve? It could have been awesome seeing him surpass stroner enemies with a good plan and team work but instead we just got another OP son of OP parents that solves everything with pure power. I'm only seeing the anime because of the Elf and the Succubus girls, i couldn't care less about the MC even if i tried.
