Just ordered a Jumper T-pro. Those center detented sliders/wheels were my #1 priority. I fly mostly lots of gliders and I need good sliders. I can deal with the double button arming for quads, that's not a big problem.
My first radio was Betafpv LiteRadio 2 SE. Today I'm driving Jumper T-Pro 4in1 with ELRS module. So far, I'm pretty satisfied. Only complain: the external module bay pins have broke, waiting for replacement 😭
The LiteRadio 2 SE was my first Radio. Currently using the Jumper T-Lite with EdgeTX and HappyModel ELRS. No complaints and haven't seen a reason to upgrade..
My jumper t lite overheated and started bootlooping so I ordered the elrs jumper t pro. To my surprise it came with an SD card and edge tx already installed. The case is also very nice to have.
@@Fpvfixit My best guess is I forgot to power it off one time and the external happymodel elrs module running at 10mw somehow overheated or fried something in the radio. When I got back to if it was super hot and the only way to turn it off was to pull the battery out. If I try turning it back on I can't turn it back off and it just looks like it's turning on the screen goes off then it looks like it's turning on again. The odd thing is I can put it in bootloader mode and reflash firmware just fine. It just doesn't power on correctly the normal way. 10mw should not have been heating the radio up enough to fry it. Especially since it was designed to go up to 500mw on that radio.
I got the version 2 BetaFPV radio to learn on the sim , it has ELRS built in , it was cheap and good to learn on , I guess it would be okay for easy fly but nothing fast cause it slips out of my hand , I'll keep watching , one thing I noticed about fpv already is it changes a lot
Man the T-pro ELRS version has a serious flaw that a lot of people are having. Bump it up to 1 watt and check your jitter in BF, mine would give me +30-40 on all sticks jitter. Usable almost as steady ad my T16 as 25mw and as you go up in power it gets higher, having to run 100mw with 8 deadband right now.
@@dronecamps have you the chance to test this ? I would like to buy this jumper t pro and it would be really helpful to know if this is a common problem. Thank you very much in advance
All of these radios have issues. I flew a T-lite for over a year with no issues. Was/is a pretty decent radio for under $60 when I got it. T-pro is just a headache, so I didn't get it this time around. Iflight one has no speaker. Come on now. I did pick up the ELRS Zorro and like it so far. Small battery is a non-issue since you can just strap on an external battery. Only thing I don't like is the big screen. It's just not needed for quads and makes the radio bigger than it needs to be. Gimbals are ok for the price.
@@dronecamps bro, I am thinking of buying the betafpv lite radio 3, but with the 2.4/900mhz can it be extended to medium/long range as it is elrs and they have pretty good range ? (Trying to fit in my budget)
I think the RM zorro screen is as big as a football ground 😂. Looks so not normal. I like the commando. I think iflight has done a good design except that the commando does not have an inbuilt speaker & that sucks. Can I use the headphone jack and get audio?
I'm trying to get in the FPV but how do I know which transmitter will bind up to racing or freestyle drones it's so confusing. For example I'm looking into an I flight Nazgal drones but how do I know which transmitter will bind up to those drones, do I have to add my own receiver on those drones they say bind and fly so I figure I just need a transmitter and goggles and bind everything.
Get one of the radios with the 4 in 1 modual built in. The tx16 or jumper t18. They both will bind to damn near anything unless you are planning on going elrs then look into one of the radios that has that built in, if your new, legit I feel it's better to go with one of the cheap micro crossfire jr modual in the back of a radio and drop the coin on a crossfire nano rx for whatever drone you want to fly. Fact is that when new, you will likely outfly your radio link if you are flying a d16/d8 receiver that comes in a ton of the bnf models.. won't even be that far away just that the radio link is pretty weak and drops off quick...but dude don't be starting with a 5 inch quad. They are too big and too fast to start with. Get a smaller indoor outdoor capable quad. Something like an emax babyhawk hd is still gonna be a tad big, but idk, it's up to you, start with cheap quads till you get the hang of them better then go to the bigger more expensive quads that don't have prop guards. Just my opinion
@@jvaldez7462 actually, the tinyhawk is a tad indoor /outdoor capable quad to learn on, or the tinyhawk 2. Sitting right at 99 dollars if u lose it it won't hurt too bad, it flys on 1 s indoors or out the 2s on for outside. The main thing is that it's capable, small and cheap with prop guards and easy to fly.
@@danieledm0101 That's not true. Their Nano tx module shipped with a missing cap, which was just an inconvenience, and they reimbursed everyone with a new module. The micro module with a mis-sized case was also sorted out very quickly. Betafpv, aside from this, have produced mothing but good ELRS products. All but the LR3/LR2SE run on official ELRS. No point having a go at them for nothing!
@@danieledm0101 Actually all the radios he looked at are really affordable. I would probably go for the zorro. for throw away stuff for your kids it is a great way to get into the hobby of FPV. If they don't like it, then you haven't spent a ton of cash.

Jumper T-lite is hands down my favorite. I love it
My pick is T-Pro 1W ELRS + FTDI adapter for sure *)
I have the light radio 3 its nice I'm a beginner on the simulator right now but it works fine for me
Im newbie can i use this in geprc micro drones like tinygo & smrth16?
I've got a flashlight that uses those 18350 batteries so having a handfull of charged batteries is not a problem.

Hi Justin, do you have a Dicord for your Campers ? It would be nice to have a community to live chat, ask questions and exchange information.
Yes look up Drone Camps RC on Discord

The Elrs model is said to have a speaker.
Today at work my old betalite orange doesn't blink the protocol . It does not bind . I don't understand what happened
Good comparison video Justin. Will the Zorro work with flat top batteries or only button top batteries.
Damnit! I need to make it over to your place!
🤪
The antenna plug on the top of the Zorro is to the internal protocol? So if i ordered the Elrs model what antenna would you recommend?
Niceee would it be a good elrs tx esp for newbie? Been loving tx16s max gold with full module csrf tx, and thinking to switch to elrs
Are any radios compatible with the dji avata or am I stuck spending all that money on the dji?
Only Dji radios work with Avata
Why,why Iflight did you not put a speaker in the Commando.
Can this be used for flights simulators btw? If yes what version?
All of them should be usable with any sim
@@concretepetrichor thanks for the information!
Can I just plug my CRSF Micro into the Zorro or do I need a special module adapter?
Pins should be the same. 👍🏻⚜️
You need a crossfire nano, not micro. The Zorro has a nano module bay afaik, so you'll need to replace the case.
The antenna of the zorro scares me.

With the radiomaster i dont see the "gamepad style" advantage. With big display and extra battery strapped, you can already go with a real radio.
