Decided to check the local thrift store today and made a score: Yamaha KX-493 for almost nothing. 2 heads only but adjustable bias and levels.
And got some 70s BASF tapes too, ferro and chrome. I see some vinyll to tape recording in my future...
also, pens with a silicone grip pad work perfectly to take up some tape slack.
That's a great find. The BASF tapes are fab.
Good video. I use my iMac with an external DAC because my phone rings and dings all the time.
That's a good way. The cure for Phones is to put them into aeroplane mode and then only connect the Wi-Fi. It is a big problem for shooting Video on a phone. Suddenly mid sentence "You've got Mail" LOL.
What is the name of the device used to put the tape into? How can I find one? The cords and adapters are definitely easily found online but the device is what I can’t find too easily
