    Nice vid Adam. Getting the same head light set up and looking forward to it. Can't wait to get out on the 701 LR post back surgery recovery - probably this fall! Now that you have your bike out and riding it, I'm itching even more to get out.

      It took WAY too long to finish this build but I'm insanely happy with it. just need to do a couple of suspension tweaks and it's perfect. Winter time, I will likely add the mini Ruby Moto lights to the forks. I ride past dusk a bit too much and it'd be nice to have an extra 2500 lumens for night time. The Squadron Pro setup is perfect!

    That looks so fun. I’m overly cautious (read scared) to take my GS on many of the bad gravel or dirt roads I run into. I’m too afraid of not being able to get the behemoth upright again should I go down. I’m always solo and not the strongest of dudes. I need a second bike!

      It’s definitely big-bike-doable with decent tires. But….very fair point! You don’t want to injure yourself or be left stranded with an upside down bike. If you have a buddy, then it’s a bit easier. GS + Luggage is a lot of bike for these trails. The 701 was a breeze.

      It's a legitimate concern not being able to pick it up solo. The real problem starts after about the 3rd drop when physical exhaustion starts. I'm really waiting for the ktm 490 r with good power, serious suspension but less weight. Can't believe there's no 390 adv r....

    After a couple rides, what are your thoughts on the Husky? Good mix of power and weight? I would think it would be a great BDR bike.

    • @AdamChandler86

      I think after this weekend coming up, I'll be able to commit to a more proper review of the bike...keeping in mind a big caveat that I'm reviewing a bike that I never rode with the stock lights, clutch, suspension, seat, electronics, exhaust, etc etc. But I'll finally put together some sort of review ------- to your question, it is a LOT of fun. it handles like a big dirt bike until things get dicey then you start to really feel the weight. You still need to pick lines, rely on momentum and don't let the momentum get away from you particularly down hill. it's dirt bike length and wheel size yet weighs 100 pounds more than a dirt bike. .

      @@AdamChandler86 Just wanted to ask you I removed back top case of r18 transcontinental but now there is a fault indication showing on display BREAK LIGHT FAILURE how can I remove this indication tried with system please guide ASAP.

    • @AdamChandler86
      @AdamChandler86  Год назад

      You may be able to zero out the connection with a safety pin put into two of the connection holes (not my expertise) but with the top case removed, you will have a fault on your dashboard. I'd just ignore it as I know from talking to BMW dealers you cannot "code-out" the top box brake light just like you can't code it in if you add it to a bagger. Your side bags wills till light up when braking so you'll pass inspection.

    I had my eye on this bike, and now they have dropped the LR version....any thoughts why?

    • @AdamChandler86
      @AdamChandler86  3 года назад +1

      It was a one & done single year only model….about 250 of them in USA and that’s it. You also can no longer buy the LR kit anymore for the 701 conversion. The hypothesis is related to EU certification and a very low sales opportunity. It’s kind of scary though for us owners. How will we get spare LR parts if we drop our bike and break something?
