Hello it is so good that you reacted to Lucy Thomas singing "At Last " it was her first live concert in Manchester last March, this song was early on in the concert so she may have been a little bit nervous. Lucy has this rich beautiful voice & is just so amazing she is just 20 years old. Last Sunday she was in Tokyo giving another live concert again she brought the house down the Japanese people who came to the concert were overawed with her beautiful singing voice, it was a full house & had an amazing standing ovation at the end of her concert she sang 19 songs. In October 22nd Lucy will be be singing live at the Drury Lane Theatre in London where she will be singing musical theatre songs also she will be singing songs from her new musical called " Rosie " which opens early next year in London. So please stay in touch with Lucy she is a very special entertainer. Take care, Barbara.
Lucy never disappoints There are never enough good things I can say about her. Lucy is a special and exceptional young women. She feels every word and makes every song she sings into a masterpiece. And Lucy's purity truly touches the heart.
It is rare that an artist sounds as good and even better live than their recordings. Lucy is in a class by herself. This young lady is destined for stardom. Everything she sings goes to another level as she has the ability to make these classic tunes her own. As young as she is at 20, her singing is way beyond her years. She seems to get even better as time goes by...just incredible.
I've been following Lucy for some time now and I have searched far and wide for anyone that I could presently compare her to and haven't to this date. She is far beyond her years in singing that most only wish for. Her voice is immaculate and stunning and continues to mature to a level only time will tell. She's a down to earth girl that wants to focus on her career without distractions of any serious relationships or negativity. She has a brilliant sense of constructing a song to fit her arrangement style. She is performing a concert in the West End , London October/ 22/ 2024 so if anyone is interested there are still tickets. At Last is one of my favorite of her performances.
You'll get used to Lucy always sounding fantastic. This one always sends me back to 1962, sitting in a night club with Sinatra and his Rat Pack at a table to my right with their jaws dropped open as Lucy sings "At Last" on the stage to my left. I really like that you do introductions to the songs and fill us in on the history. Bravo!
Lucy Thomas put simply is certainly one of the greatest if not the very greatest female singers I've ever heard and I've heard just about everybody who is anybody, the fact she took a timeless classic song made famous by such an iconic singer as Etta James was and rightfully so and not only did it justice but arguably actually improved it speaks volumes and to do such performances at the tender age of 20 is truly remarkable.
Thanks for playing Lucy Thomas----your audience will DEMAND other selections, she's that good! Briefly, plan to play these two SOON: "One Moment in Time", and "Evergreen." Your socks will be knocked OFF! Unbelievable voice!
Mr. Mindset - first of all, great reaction video. Enjoyed the history portion & learned a few things. With a full tip of the hat to the GREAT Etta James, who made this song a classic - this is the best version of the song I have heard. You are so right - If you just heard this, you would not think it was a young lady who had just turned 20. Lucy's vocal skills & her voice overall are just off the hook. This was a LIVE performance (Her 1st LIVE public concert) - definitely noticed a few nerves early - but she seemed very calm once she got a few songs in. In fact, I think your 2 reviews (Somewhere & At Last) were the 1st 2 songs of the night. When you have time - Check out "We can change the world" or Hallelujah from the same concert - I think these were her last 2 songs of the evening. Thx again - hope you will do some more.
Stunning version of this classic song,Lucy's studio version is great as well, though always good to hear live in order to see if an artist can cut it on stage,Lucy obviously can!,this concert was the first of 3 this year,Lucy had a sell out concert in Tokyo on sunday & has another on the 22nd October in the West End!,try Lucy's last 2 releases 'Unchained melody'& 'One moment in time',sublime!😊
Hello Mr. Mimdset, now one week after Lucy's concert in Drury Line London, I'm still in a kind of dream! So many wrote that she sings live great too and now I can confirm it...this was stunning and each penny was it worth to travel to see and hear her live! Also the very beautiful songs they sung of the Rosie Musical were just spectacular composed by Chris Broom and all of her colleges were so great voices together with an superb orchestra! This sympatic and talented Lady will go far in her carreer. Greetings from 🇩🇪
Great reaction! This was another stunning performance! Lucy has the most beautiful voice in the world. Lucy is an Earth Angel. Please do not hesitate to play and react to some of Lucy's earlier performances. They often get overlooked, even by the greatest reactors. Even at a younger age, Lucy’s voice was already mature beyond her years and absolutely stunning. Please play and react to Lucy’s breathtaking performances of: “LISTEN”; ruclips.net/video/-fGe8Z4uLWE/видео.html At just turned 15, Lucy had the mature, passionate, and powerful voice of an adult diva. And “I’LL NEVER LOVE AGAIN"; ruclips.net/video/4g1Qpu9XPL8/видео.html At only age 15, Lucy’s emotional and powerful performance was even better than the original. And “RUN” ruclips.net/video/HTnry6S4vgc/видео.html At only age 15, Lucy’s voice was so rich and powerful; I promise you will be blown away. Hopelessly Addicted in Arizona
Go to her page and listen to Lucy sing Whitney Houston's song "One Moment in Time" and tell me she isn't great! It will blow you away! I am78 years old and I think she has the best female voice I've ever heard.
Thank you for reacting to this song by Lucy. I love it because it is in a different style from how she normally sings, big ballads or musical style songs. I agree about her arm movements, she seemed at a loss as to what to do with them. I checked her studio version and she is far more natural in that one. As people have said, it was her 2nd song on her debut theatre performance so she was nervous and hadn’t settled down at that point although her voice seemed totally unaffected.
Hi Great to see a new reactor reacting to our Queen of song.Lucy at just 20 is probably the best female vocalist on the planet.Lucy has been singing since she was 7 years old has 6 albums to date. She was given a record contract at 14,She is starring in a Musical opening in Londons West End next year written for her to play the lead By Chris Broom her mentor since the age of 13 and owner of her record label Chris is also a renowned song writer. This was from Lucy´s Manchester Concert where she sung 16 songs. She has just done a concert in Tokyo and her next is in London next month.Great reaction from you only thing I disagree with you is .Lucy always useses her arms when singing she is never still she accentuates the notes with her body movements .Of course she would be nrervous and was in her first song "Somewhere" although it was barely noticable and she soon settled down .I dont think there was any sign of nerves in this song or any of the others.Just my opion but on the whole a good reaction and thanks for supporting Lucy.
Hello Mr. Mindset, I love your reactions of Lucy Thomas of "Somewhere " she was 19 years old here at her first debut concert. She uses her arms alot which is just her of expression. She does in them too, especially in Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers" and " One moment in time" by Whitney Houston. Below is a link of Lucy at 15 in A fundraising event here in the USA.
