यह फिल्म का पहला भाग है फिल्म का नायक अजित राम फौज से रिटायर हो कर जब अपने घर पहुँचता है तो उसके बेटे, बहु, पत्नी, बेटी सभी स्वागत करते है अजित राम अपने परम मित्र से मिलता है और अपनी बेटी की शादी की तैयारी करता है वह अपनी घरेलू जिम्मेदारियों को निभाता है पर बेटो के रवैयों से वो ऐसे अकेलेपन का सामना करता है जो उसे आत्मिक और मानसिक रूप से दुखी करता है
