    On steam engines:
They’re good for small, high power draw designs.
While they are less efficient than their super/turbo fuel brethren, they *are* much more efficient than injector engines.
I have a corvette who, while supposed to be just 60k, is going over budget in her unfinished state. However, her 2 rail guns are very able to rip and tear, but it varies with each ship. There are still kinks to be worked out.

Funny thing is that the ship you gave the jet is one of the (supposed) 2 AA ships the Onyx watch have

Ring shields can be good, but they’re super niche, you’d only use them if you’re trying to counter someone who is designing a gun to just barley destroy a block so the shell isn’t too big and it can get good fire rate, because then it will just barley fail to destroy said block, or secondarily, and much more usefully, rings shield work wonders with stone and wood, because the low armor of the blocks can be greatly increased (I used ring shields for +8 ac, sides and back, still only needed carburetors, and the bonus doubles the woods ac and increased stone’s by 50%) and it mitigates the main weakness of those blocks; explosive damage. So ring shields overall? Generally not worth it, but they serve their niche well

You can medium steam pistons efficient, the only problem is that the engines have to be so wide. But they are at least 25% better than the small ones.

I refuse to use ejectors lol. Though in some designs there is no reason to, as if you don’t have the explosive power to destroy another clip (low velocity shells and pure kinetic railguns fit this category), a chain reaction is unlikely/impossible. I don’t use ejectors because of the Tetris I use, which remains hyper efficient in firepower, I got 30+ out of a 7x7, 5 block tall (including the 5x5 turret base) area.

Hey Brenzo, thanks for the review!
The LAMS node is now fixed, and the HA wedges are backed by metal (Ooops).
Since I uploaded the Trident, I've fixed a few things. I've also reworked the armor by using a different scheme that seems to be better at stopping kinetics.
A note about the CIWS: The purpose behind the supercav is actually to make the CIWS reliable against Torpedoes. They are set ignore projectiles below 25m/s, which means they will only shoot at torpedoes down to the point where they are too slow to catch up to the ship, thus taking advantage of the fact that missiles loose speed as they take damage. That way they don't waste bullets on torpedoes that are too slow to be a threat or, to an extent, missiles that have run out of fuel.
The durability of the turrets is the main issue I have with the ship now. The Tyrs APHEAT shells still manage to get into the turret necks sometimes.

Hey, Brenzo when will the next stream happen?

Lol, I made the Thomandy so long ago that I genuinely forgot about that Ciws shell, whoops, I think it was something I saw from BungaloBill who had a dual-purpose Ciws airship in a campaign and I wanted to try it.
Each mainframe controls its' own remote guided missile system since they use processing power.
And it's definitely an ancient campaign ship which was just meant to take fire away from other's lol, I swear that huge missile had a signal processor though...
In terms of improving it, nah, it was really just my first attempt at making decent looking superstructure like a year ago and I liked it enough to share and see how bad you'd rip into it lol. Honestly it came away alright XD I'll take "Less-good".
The internals are a total wreck and I get a migraine just thinking about trying to fix them.

Ring shields can provide good AC buffs, but a craft must be designed for ring shields rather than the other way around.

the yf-24 is a yf-24, not an f-35. it was the alternative to the f-22 and was arguably better but wasn't chosen because of the manufacturer's reputation

You know what, I just tested it and it still beats the ships I built it for.
Warlord and Aquila, Extinction sometimes too. Doesn't fare well against the new Kobold sandblaster.
Works for me, quick, cheap ass -copy-paste cruiser- still bops the GT.
