I couldn't go back to a full bed of zero after trying sync in the crosses. My shots felt like they penetrated through the court more without the height and loop i get from zero. Can't wait for the sync vs zero video
Great enthusiasm on your channel, I measured Sync 1.25 it is actually thicker 1.30. Measured with micrometer. Any experience with this, and how thick is Sync 1.20?
The review I said I wanted only hours ago and here it is! On top of that I just received a reel of zero and a couple of sets of Sync. Now I just have to decide on full bed or hybrid? Another great review and glad you covered all bases!
Another reviewer tested wassabi mains/ sync crosses and sync failed muktible breakages after only 5 hours of play ..antone else have issues with sync frating in crosses?
Great review. I think you guys really went deep with all the different rackets strung and setup. Could even be better if there were some videos just to see the launching angle from the strings. Personally, I am using Ezone 98, as a control frame I totally get how you can't seem to hit the ball out, but the con is, it may seem like lacking power, allowing your opponent to come to the net. The Hybrid setup is definitely a must try for me.
Thanks for the comment! Yes we normally have clips of us playing, it has been raining a lot here in London so weren’t able to get clips. There will be clips in the Sync vs Zero video coming soon! Yes I would try the hybrid in that 98. Or in the summer go full Sync if the balls are travelling that bit lighter!
love the review! Just think if Re-String SYNC pair with Blade V9 is it gonna be good or with more power with Zero? ultimate control or add power. What do you think?
Good explanation! I’m looking for a good string to complement an 18X20 Solinco Whiteout. I’ve heard Restring is not a good option. Suggestions to try? Something with good spin and tension maintenance.
How would you compare the spin potential of GRAPPLESNAKE TOUR SNIPER to TOROLINE TORO TORO (which I know you ranked highly)? How about this RESTRING SYNC? What about compared to SOLINCO CONFIDENTIAL or GRAPPLESNAKE TOUR M8? What about overall playability? You guys are about the only ones I know that I've tried all of these. They keep popping up again and again and list of the top strings of 2024.
I would say in terms of ball outcome not a huge amount in it. The feeling on the Sync is crisper and the 4G soft a bit muted. So I’d say more personal choice on feel than anything else! Josh
This is a good point - we are yet to directly compare the Toroline and ReString options together. My gut feeling is he’s I think they’ll be quite similar! Josh
How do you think the string would play at low tensions? Do you think it would be enhanced if it was strung at say 35 pounds to increase the power and spin and pocketing much like ALU power plays well at low tensions.
Yeh this is a good idea. We are working on a project with a brand where we’ll have 10 identical rackets with the same string all at different tensions so we can see how strings behave at those differing tensions!
@@ph-tennis just so you know, restring zero is terrible at low tensions. Very launch it to begin with as you know in the lower tensions that just gets worse. I play with a Babolat Pure Aero 2023 and like the lower tensions. My standard so far is RPM rough 17 at 35 pounds. That said, I'm always searching for something better. Grapplesnake M8 Tour is great at low tensions (amazing in my Ezone 100 at 30 pounds, but not quite the same in my Pure Aero). I am always looking for string set ups that maintain their integrity at low tension and offer great pocketing, feel, dwell time, and SPIN. I have run through the gamut of popular boutique strings lately - Toroline, Grapplesnake, and Restring. Well, I don't think a full bit of sync will probably be the answer. Perhaps the hybrid you were discussing in this video could have some promise. Anyone there string up a set of ZERO / SYNC at 30 pounds?
If I was looking for even more control in a control frame then Sync, looking for more action out of it (spin, power etc) then Zero. Nothing beats trying them both and maybe a hybrid too… we are testing sync in a blade 100 so may have more info for you soon. Josh
Honestly we only had one set of sample left, and thought we’d try it with the more powerful string on the mains… We are going to do a another video Sync vs Zero and will include both blend options in that!

Make sure to watch this space!

Glad you enjoyed the review! Let us know what you prefer playing with: full bed or hybrid! 🎾

I'm currently using a full bed of Zero in my Ezone and love it!

We have just string a blade 100 v9 in Sync - so will let you know soon!
My feeling is yes so much control it may be unfair on your opponent! Josh
@@ph-tennis can't wait to see the review, always thankyou for you guys!

I liked that racquet with Hyper G soft and Confidential. Both 1.20
@@toemouse Thanks
I would say ReString Zero has great spin and tension maintenance! But haven’t tried it in a whiteout so pinch of salt! Josh
Hey, how would you compare restring sync with isospeed cream as a cross string?

Really great review. You always manage to have a bit of a laugh while being thorough and informative.
Much more enjoyable that way! For both us and you guys! Glad you enjoyed the review 🎾
Could you do a video on strings by style with 3 best in each category! 😁
What is best to clear over the net? Tennis racquet, string, string tension etc??
I know you guys love the 4G Soft (as do I!). How would you compare the Sync with that string?

They’re like the monty python of tennis
how is it compared to Enso Pro, I'm thinking as a cross, I recall you saying both have great dwell time and both are slick

The string launches Friday!
Which one would you choose for a blade 98 16x19?

Thank you! Looking forward to that new review.
can you explain why you picked one for the crosses instead of the other?
Honestly we only had one set of sample left, and thought we’d try it with the more powerful string on the mains…

@@ph-tennis cool. i'll check that out when you drop it.
Usually the shaped poly goes in the main. In the crosses, it would be a waste of it's spin potential.
I usually like to watch you guys. But this review was disappointing. Too much joking around and not enough serious reviewing in this one. 👎
It seemed pretty in line with their other reviews to me
