The Japanese pronunciation "Nami" has several meanings.
One Nami is a girl's name, and the other Nami means ordinary.
Naminokurashi(Nami's life) is a combination of these two meanings.
Kurashi means daily life.
I don't have any special skills. My life is ordinary days.

Reminds me of my mom, very clean and productive. I strive to be like her. She is from the Philippines but even when people don't have much there, they usually do their best to keep their houses clean. If you have a roof over your head, no matter how small, it should be your priority to make the best of it. It's where you live and will keep your spirits up vs wallowing in a mess!

I love Shaba-shabu! I’ve been to a Shaba-shabu restaurant in Gardena, California, I grew up in that community which is mostly Japanese influenced. I don’t live in Gardena anymore but my mom does so when I visit her, we go eat at the local restaurants. Most of my friends are Japanese-American and when we were in school, they would invite over to their home and always had delicious food their moms would cook. When they came to my house, my mom (we’re Mexican-American), would cook for me and my friends, she actually didn’t always make Mexican food lol.. but anything my mom made was always delicious. I miss those days hanging out with my friends. Luckily we all found each other on Facebook and had several reunions until the lockdown started, but we see each other when it’s possible.
