    I visited Hollywood Park Cemetery (now known as Hollywood Forever Cemetery) back in 1985. Without any knowledge or maps we looked around for a couple of hours. The only grave that we were able to find was the one of Jesse L. Lasky who formed Famous Players Lasky and later co-founded Paramount Pictures which is right across the street. Although we were not able to locate any of the stars of old Hollywood we still felt that we were in the presence of greatness. Beautiful and Historic. I cherished this visit as it was the only time that I have visited Hollywood Park Cemetery.

    Virginia Rappe had what is now known as preexisting conditions. "Fatty" Arbuckle was ultimately acquitted by a jury, but the damage was done in the media
    for his career afterwards. He basically was blacklisted and found it hard to get work even behind the camera. He passed away on June 29, 1933 at age 46 in Manhattan, NY, NY.

    Thank you for sharing the very well maintained photos of Virginia Rappe in your video's last section. Until today I had only seen one picture of her which was a super close up of her face. Your photos of her whole body actually brought her to life for me. I now feel I have a better feel for her as a person. What a tragedy for all involved. Thank you again for sharing this video with us.

    • @lisag18
      @lisag18 3 месяца назад +1

      A full body photo gives you better perspective of her as a person?
      I fail to see how that's possible because it's a photo.
      Listening to people who knew her is a better gauge, don't you think?
      She was a user and manipulater and flat out liar.
      Not a nice person. I did research on Ms. Rappe, I didn't look at a full length photo to judge a person's character

    From what I've read over the years, Mr. Arbuckle didn't intentionally kill her, she was crushed under his weight. Even though he was acquitted, the scandal pretty much killed his career, and he was never the same.

    • @jankoza673
      @jankoza673 7 месяцев назад

      Her death was due to a botched abortion. She was to set Arbuckle up to be accused of rape so the studio could control him. It all had to do with money and control.

    • @elizabethnavarre7972
      @elizabethnavarre7972 7 месяцев назад +7

      That was the accusation and assumption because of body shaming. It's pretty awful to assume someone is a rapist, it's even worse to assume that his victims would automatically die because of being crushed. Pretty sure it's been proven she drank herself to death and he had nothing to do with it.
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginia_Rappe (check the footnotes)
      According to this his first accuser had a record for blackmail and other crimes, Ms. Rappe had pre-existing conditions which were made worse by her drinking, and the jury outright apologized for Arbuckle's name being dragged through the mud over this. Trust me, I'm the first person to stick up for survivors of assault, but we have to be careful not to make false accusations, firstly, so that real accusations are taken seriously, and secondly, so that innocent lives aren't completely destroyed.

    So....for William Desmond Taylor, you said "those involved remain tight lipped to this day...." I don't know if that is a play on everyone being 'tight lipped' is because they all are dead, or if you did not think of the fact that duh, of course they're dead by now, lol. Also, Virginia Rappe; you first said she died at a hospital, then a little later you said she died days later (after allegedly being assaulted by Arbuckle), in his rooms. Which one was it?

    I do believe in the paranormal. Back in the 80th I used to work fro movie mogul and producer Dino Delaurentiis. I was kind of close to him but when he sold his film Studios in Wilmington NC in the early 90th. He moved to Beverly Hills and I moved to Akron. We kept a light touch until his death in 2010. In 2014 I saw the phantom of Dino Delaurentiis in a hotel room in Jacksonville,He was standing in the middle two taller women. Delaurentiis was a short man. In the beginning I couldn’t figure out whose were them two women and after contacting a medium I realized that one of the woman was his first wife Silvana Mangano and the other one a mutual friend who passed away recently Dorina Cerea.
