Nice job! The tamiya panel liners have a warning if used straight on plastic, that the enamel panel wash will cause the plastic to become brittle and crack. The C30 parts may have gotten panel wash liquid there, and then stuck with the top coat, causing more stress.
Thanks for the compliment and advice. As you say, in the past, other part was split by Tamiya panel liner. If this product often breaks plastic, I think you should use a marker.
@@KatokiHolic spraying with a glossy topcoat before panel lining is a good method, it protects the plastic and helps the panel liner flow smoother, then you can finish with matte
i recommend masking the holes that the joints go into as well or else it will be for naught. Part that broke was either like you mentioned, too much coat which made part very stiff, or you prematurely assembled it too soon after coating it. I found that giving it a couple days until the coat doesn't feel like powder is a good time to handle the parts. However, at the very minimum at least move any joints that were sprayed to prevent it from being stuck in one position too long should suffice while you let it cure. Overall great job though. Love the look. This is actually my plan as well for my wing zero.
Thank you for your advice. Your comments are very right. I wasn't masking the holes, and the flat finish didn't dry enough. The problem was that I wanted to finish it quickly. @@godjesus3232 The Gaia color paint shown in the video leaves brush marks, so it is important to apply it as soon as possible. Thanks for this, it helps me to get started on painting while saving up for an airbrusb set. I have read from reddit and other youtube comment from painting tutorial that applying tamiya panel line accent on bare plastic would make the plastic brittle overtime. Is it true?
Yes. one of the parts that I used tamiya panel line accent was cracked T.T (in the making of old mg wing gundam ver.ka) This part wasn't particularly damaged, but it cracked right after tamiya panel line accent application.
