Man, I've been working on this for a while. Can't wait to run a proper campaign with it, the feeling of choices continuing through missions is wild fun.

Player Loadouts based on the Slot taken instead of their profile has just been added to PERSIST, along with recording of ACEX Hunger and Thirst between operations. The documentation included with the system has been updated.
What's the music from the intro part of the video (starts at 0:53)? I've run into it before and don't know what it is, but I really enjoy it.
Having never even played arma or modded anything in my life,
I am simultaneously excited, confused, and lost.
I felt called out at the end there
@@jacobsage1711 So did I
I am also feeling called out there as i watched it solely because rimmy put it out
Yea…
I've played Arma 3, I'll be straight with you, you have to know somebody or join a clan to enjoy the kinda things Remy does. As a random who only had one friend who'd play who refused to join a clan, because "I already work for a living, why should I have to listen to these mouthbreathers" I agree it feels like a lot of work( he was mad at the time, don't anyone take it as a personal thing, I'm just quoting him at that time ), I joined one that was a star wars clone trooper battalion, they had me download 15 mods and wait for training for two months, I never got to do anything with them, nobody wanted a rookie participating. I downloaded TeamSpeak in 2018 for them, when they have a discord that they refused to use minus telling me days they were available. It was an awful experience for me personally. Though I loved playing occasionally with my friend in random public servers. I am not trying to kill your joy, just making you aware that it isn't as simple as download a few mods, join 3 servers randomly and walk out with a game like Rimmy and others like SovietWomble, Digby, and etc show. They are fun communities. But they are a community, you gotta join them and put in time and effort to see the fun times. I hope you don't take the wrong parts of this and run with it, I hope you reader have a good day.
In the first few seconds I was thinking "Wow sounds like Rimmy made it"
"A rainy morning, with awful visibility..." Shows a light rain with pockets of blue skies and nearly perfect visibility.
damn, I watched the entire thing despite not owning arma 3...
that ending gave me whiplash haha
yeah i feel slightly called out
I will honestly be amazed if more than three people don't forget their ear plugs routinely. It would be easier to make an SCP that only sells ear plugs (in exchange for whatever crap people can find lying around,) at the spawn on mission start, and have it magically disappear when no one is looking. Maybe have it teleport to the players when they're behaving badly, just to let them know that it's always there, watching.
I was going to correct you on "NPC", but it magically disappears and teleports so "SCP" is far more accurate XD
My idea was to always give earplugs at mission start, resulting in dupes for anyone who happened to remove them for some reason. You could also bury a request menu in the radio so anyone who forgot last time can get them back
@@icarusgaming6269 how would you do so?
@@alphawolffestudios1169 @Alpha_Wolffe Studios something like allplayers AddItem "ace_earplugs". Radio menus is something I can't remember how to program, but they can totally run any code when you activate them
@@icarusgaming6269 ah ok fare enough thanks
Instantly reminded of the "security cordon" we (straya) built during 'Nam, turns out if you build a minefield you really ought to patrol it so Charlie doesn't just look at all the mines and think "It's free real estate"
Very cool system Rimmy!
Lol wtf did Biden command the Australian military in the 60's and 70's or something?

Currently working on an Arma 3 campaign on a large scale for my community and this is a godsend, since I want to emulate scarcity and make equipment valuable and death dangerous.
You're an actual legend Rimmy.
First thing that sprang to mind for me was a Campaign based on the old Twilight 2000 Tabletop RPG.
Well yes he is a legend! He rejected the gift of gods and remained a mortal but legend to this day!
>And worst of all the mine was of US issue.
"And remember: Once you pull the pin, comrade grenade is no longer your friend."
DON'T CALL ME OUT LIKE THAT END THING!! but it was mildy entertaining
14:50 I feel incredibly called out here, Rimmy. Good show case at any rate my friend.
That 'hearing damage' squeel was so true to life I thought my actual tinnitus was acting up.
Oh man this is EXACTLY what I needed when I start making ops for next month for my group.
We planned on doing an survival type of thing were the players can build a base to live out of and slowly turn it into a home for themselves. I was so worried about having to write down things such as "3 walls here, half a mag here, broken down car over there" and this will help with hours of headaches (At the expensive of hours of headaches on your end lmao)
Keep up the great work Rimmy, you are truly a great person.
I believe that's how most Zeuses did these kind of missions so far. With this, it'll get much easier.
I am one of the weirdos you mentioned, I do own arma 3 and have played on modded servers but I hardly do anymore and have never planned creating campaigns for the mass amount of friends that I don’t have that play arma. I watched this all the way through because I like watching your channel no matter the content is.
So like a week ago I was in a car crash and fractured my ribs and lower left leg. And haven’t really been able to do much so seeing a video from you has made my day better. Just wanted to say thank you Rimmy for blessing me with something to watch.
Damnit Rimmy, I was just about to go play SWTOR.
Welp, time to put that off for a second
Same here.
Pegasus is actually the name of my favorite airsoft field, which is also the name of their special 3 day milsim op that can very from 1914 trench warfare to NCR vers Legion (yes that actually happened, it was fucking awesome) and it's always cool to see what they are doing with a nearly 40 acre field.
Between you and Liru, I appreciate all that ya'll do, Rimmy. Greetings from a SPC in the 506th.
Dear god, I'd enjoy a series of rimmy just doing.
Here's the basics of putting together a mission in arma.
His missions are aspirational and knowing I will never be able to join the Cadian, the best I can do is try to emulate those types of experiences
at first I thought this was like adding dungeons and dragons character inventories to ARMA 3 (Like, my dude has 3 mags left, neat, should get some more next campaign) but the persistent world and combat objectives are incredibly impressive. Well done sir!
Everyone in agreement that Rimmy should make a Zeus Tutorial?
YES
You mean ruclips.net/video/KapzuebsbDg/видео.html
Fairly certain he has one already
Edit: yeah that's the video above me
I didnt see that till now but to be fair there has been alot of DLC stuff and updates or what I have heard from else as I personally dont have ARMA 3 and I am not really in tune with it as I should be
Not being able to save ear plugs is exactly the sort of thing that makes modding frustrating but rewarding
Man i wish i had this when i was running my group, so much better than every other MSO system out there, congrats!
Really great stuff. I've been manually adjusting crate inventories and creating persistent campaigns for years, constantly moving units around and trying to remember where stuff ended up with streams and screenshots.
One note on player load outs, having the option to save based on player UID OR slot would be ideal. The campaign I'm running right now, everyone runs their own unique kit, but might grab a different slot from mission to mission because the slots are all generic soldiers. Their kit still needs to be the same regardless of slot.
Oh lawd, this looks amazing! Thank you Rimmy!
Hello. I am he who does not own ARMA 3, and watched all the way through. I did indeed enjoy, it's great to see what you and your group manage to get up to in this game and see how much effort you put into improving that experience. Especially when trying to work within so many limitations that came up in this video. It's a bit like tabletop RPGs I play in those regards, though the restrictions on ARMA seem to be more technical aspects.
Never played or owned Arma but you are a good story teller and in my dark heresy campaign my players like dealing with logistics. Your operations keep a lot of good advice that is quite transferable, even if the mod isn't.
Even though I’m not watching the video (because I don’t own Arma 3), I’m deeply grateful for you making a mod that seems to be incredibly big and useful, people like you are the ones maintaining games alive for years after development is officially stopped.
Hi Rimmy, I did enjoy your quips, and it seems like an amazing mod, can't wait to see it used by others
I love stuff like this, it helps me with mission making.
Great mod mate
Hi. I did enjoy your little quips. And I will continue on with my incredibly boring life a little happier haveing heard of this project of yours, in spite of not owning Arma or ever planning to. Its just fun to hear someone show off something they made. Especially if that something means more tools for Arma users to make cool campaigns and such.
I wasn't too sure what this was all about when I saw it on twitch because it looked just like ARMA.
But this is a work of genius and might be one of the best mods I've been for this game ever
You’re doing gods work. Thank you
This is such a nice "quality of life" system that it saddens me that it has never neither base-game nor part of any DLC update amongst all the changes, tweaks, upgrades throughout all the time ARMA 3 has been published [with 2013 being the early access, and 2016 with 1.0].
I sure hope to see it in ARMA's next installment as a standard campaign system, whereby you could have the main campaign [even though being the story either linear or somewhat ] influenced by what you bring back from "side-missions".
14:52 I feel very called out.
I feel personally attacked by that ending 🤣
THANK YOU FOR THIS mate... This is A M A Z I N G
I am absolutely one of those people who just... absorbs information cuz it's there. I understood very little of what I was hearing, and yet, I was thoroughly interested. Thanks Rimmy!
(Please help my life is so boring)
Yea I don't even own Arma 3 and I watched the entire thing hi Rimmy
Very very cool, I will need to dive into the 3DEN editor again and see if I can create some concepts to use this on.
14:52 Hey! please dont call me out like that XD
Hi, I did enjoy it, and it was mildly entertaining. :)
14:52
I am one of those people. I don't care what kind of content it is, Rimmy, you've got a certain charm to your videos, I just like whatever it is you're doing dude. Thank you, and have an amazing day
Bro this is well made
The item and weapon saving is really well handled, I tried to deal with that before and it was really hard to do it right
yes hi im one of those wierd guys
i have not played ARMA 3 but its still nice to listen to someone talk about something interesting
I’ll probably never own arma 3 (nor a pc) but I watched most of your videos . They’re just too fun.
Me having never played arma listening through and through to the end: Hey! Low blow.
15:05 Well, now I feel called out. I swear my life is not boring!
Waiting on halo 2-4 full stream releases
Lol love your work rimmy, dont lose ur charm
Thanks I'm one of those people who watches mode video with out being able to play or enjoy it thanks for calling me out with my boring life
I (sadly) never played Arma 3 and will probably create a mod or a campaign but ...
I like watching Rimmy and yes I've been called out at the end
Wow I can't believe rimmy would call me out at the end like that
15:00 I just watched a guide to a Arma 3 mod... A game that I don't own or play or even intend to make missions in- But I just like Rimmy's Arma content, so I enjoyed watching it regardless.
Hi, I did enjoy this. I don't own ARMA and have very little experience with things like it. BUT I love creativity and gaming and well, you. That's why I've been watching for the years I have.
a cool campaign gor this especially with fortify is you have the players be a mixed/combined unit of infantry and engineers their mission is to scout the near by area and locate a potential FOB when they have done this they can contact the engineers to come in and build that FOB while building and even scouting you can have small encounters but obviously they will be more serious to stop the building of that FOB. and each session they keep the fob and equipment but theres tasks of defending patrolling securing resupply etc. and they can slowly build up the FOB to suit their defensive needs. and lets say they then want to switch from a infantry unit to a armoured you can have them play as the armoured and npcs as the old infantry unit and have them do a couple missions for turn over of the region control etc then when they are done with that scenario they can have a blast destroying the FOB as they extract.
That's so cool!
Birthday upload! Cheers, Rimmy!
Very nice intro!
i have no clue how to zeus but i did enjoy the video thank you for the little call out at the end
Is it 1:30 am? Yes. Do I own Arma 3? No. Did I feel called out at the end of the video? Very much so
Dangit Rimmy stop being so awesome.
I feel called out by that ending
I was indeed mildly entertained
It was entertaining and I did enjoyed the commentary. And nope no ARMA on my HD, but I do dig me some milsim.
14:50 I felt personally attacked by this comment...but its not wrong. I also relate to the previous comment about crying before fixing something. I just like your content and big multiplayer operations in Arma.
One video I would love is how to use HAL well. There are some good videos on what module does what and how X works but with a mod as unique as HAL how is it best set up and used?
I feel called out at the end there
me watching this despite not even owning Arma and being quite frankly intimidated by it: 👁👄👁
Hi Rimmy, I watched for no real reason, I just your content, I don't think I own like any of the games you play lol
Is that ... This War of Mine soundtrack I hear? Good taste, Rimmy.
10/10 for Narration!!!!
I haven't played ARMA 3 in over 2 years, why am I here watching this super cool mod demonstration that i'll probably never use
thanks for calling me out at the end there
I don't own or play Arma 3 cause my pc probably can't handle it, but as a modder and aspiring game dev its entertaining to watch.
it was mildly entertaining
Never played Arma, don't make missions, but this looks so sick.
It was very entertaining Rimmy, and yes I will continue with my peacefully boring life.
Dammit Rimmy, you bamboozled me then remained interesting enough to keep watching even though I don’t own Arma
That ending feels like it was targeting me haha...
14:52 - was not expecting to be called out like that. 😔
The great thing I have earned from this video is the confirmation that I am indeed weird.
i felt a slightly bit attacked at the end there
oh it's beautiful. I'm sending this to my Zeus
Hey, I'm exactly the type of person you mention at the end, so this might be a dumb question, but does this mod work with ACE Medical? In case it doesn't, is it going to in the future? Or is it impossible?
i didn't need that call out at the end :( i'm gonna carry on with my boring life now xD
Thought I put on a BazBattles video after that intro
Amazing. And does this work for single player? Or would that require a server anyway?
This system looks awsome for a 'set day operations' setting. Would that be viable for a 24/7 server with daily reboots though?
I feel called out. No I don't own arma3 and yes I did watch the entire video of you explain how your arma3 mod works
okay since you've basically teased it here
Operations Room collab when? Have him narrate a whole ass Persist Campaign i'd watch it
Here's a idea that would work with persist and would possibly be very fun to play. How about a world war one campaign but with world war z zombies (the book ones).
limited fortify gives off a neat Foxhole building vibe
Hey Rimmy big question is this only needed for the Zeus or does everyone need this since my Cline wars unit is adopting this for our Main Campaigns/Operations
I always kinda felt like Arma Ops are pretty similar to table top RPGs. cooperative roleplaying and story telling.
Goddamnit Rimmy I wanted to sleep today
Seems like it would be something fun to play with, at least if I were to able to access multiplayer.
But seeing as I am one of those weirdos on a Linux based distro, that simply isn't possible due to the anti cheat being fussy. Oh well, it was a fun watch anyway.
I actually play Arma 3. I'm going to try to convince the group I'm playing with to try this out.
Getting called out at the end.... ouch :P
