I'm quite confused since this video starts by saying that M5 bolts are pre-2016, and then proceeds to explain the M5 installation. With the recommended number of washers, it doesn't work because the larger screw isn't long enough and there's nowhere to attached the bolt. The piece of paper included with the post-2016 wheels refers to pre-2016 installation, again very confusing. Can you please correct this at least somewhere?
Shall we talk about the Brompton Easy Wheel scam: you sell a more than 1500€ bicycle, supposedly top quality... which comes with some shitty small wheels everybody says you have to change. You can even damage your bike suspensions if you don't change them. Is this a great design? Absolutely! Is this customer respect? Absolutely not!
Ohh but a pair of those awesome, cheap, high quality, smooth, unbreakable (although cushioning) rollerblades wheels are going to BREAK YOUR BIKE! (it has never happened to anyone ever)
The standard rollers are infinitely inferior to the Eazys, why supply the former in the first place? The retail difference is only just under eight quid! #nobrainer
This method of using half a countrie's supply of washers seems like a solution that I would come up after 3 beers, before going to a real hardware store and buying decent spacers. Come on Brompton, you sell the best folding bikes in the world, get you sh*t together...
I love my Brompton but I agree with you here. At the same time, I don't think there are any other folding bike brands with such a wide range of after-market options. Although at the same time, the pre-installed rollers are sub par for the quality and price of Brompton as it is, which justifies an after-market solution.
I just installed two racks with Eazy wheels using the above washer configuration which mirrors the instructions but the bolts are too short. I had to omit a few washers here and there so I could get the nut. I don't know if Brompton started sourcing different washers that may be thicker or what but for the cost of these wheels it's kind of ridiculous. Agree with others that they should just include Eazy wheels on all bikes and racks instead of making it an upgrade.
It's purely about balance clearly Brompton had experimented with the wheels however with all RUclips hacks regarding the bunting you can experiment with different thickness of wheels I use luggage wheels it's all about finding whether it's better on the inside or outside

Sorry brompton you don’t explain the post 2016 aft wheel installation

Couldn't agree more with you. Cheers.
I can only imagine it has something to do with making more money. A shame given how much they cost. They absolutely should be standard.
100%. Mysterious
still crazy, after all these years

Why is one rack wheel inside and one outside?

I noticed it too
I just installed these tonight and had to run down to my basement to make sure I did them right. lol
Where can I find the ones before 2016?
How about a blue version to go on the Brompton Electric ???
トルクの管理やグリスの塗布は、必要無いですか?
Why make a video in 2021 and show the older M5 installation?
You can tell this video was made this year because of the face covering
