    Is the moon assumed to always have been moving AWAY from the Earth? has it ever moved toward the Earth?

    This video says the moon is moving away from earth. Buy Keplers law says our moon keeps the same distance from earth due to the earth's gravity and the moons' trajectory speed. So who's right?
