    I’ve been dating a Nigerian guy for a year now and he is Igbo… It has been nothing but heart aches and pains.. always cheating and lying… I have decided. To break up with him next month on his Birthday… That should teach him not to play with this Proud American woman of standards🇺🇸

    I was talking to a Nigerian guy very briefly from the DMV. He was emotionally toxic and passive aggressive. I could tell by his actions he wasn’t serious about me, but expected me to reply to his text constantly. He would give me the silent treatment and ignore me when I set a boundary. The last straw is when he deliberately bragged about seeing another girl to my face. So I blocked him immediately. I also have had a bad experience with a Jamaican recently. I’m leery about dating foreign black men now… African American men aren’t perfect either, but it’s like foreigners think it’s culturally acceptable to mistreat women…almost like it’s mandatory.

    There are over 250 distinct tribes in Nigeria and each culture is very peculiar. Some have got really inflated egos because a lot of the men/women are from traceable royal or generally well to-do families. It's sad that you had bad experiences

  • @jayfizz545
    @jayfizz545 Год назад +37

    As a Nigerian man you really know too much lmao. #4 was facts, that family pressure makes it difficult to play with our own women because of the culture, they don't get done as bad as women from here. I've watched some of my brothers date others because that lack of pressure lets them do whatever.. In Africa everything is family based, your family is supposed to protect you from men who have bad intentions but since that doesn''t exist in American culture many girls get taken advantage of. American women don’t get to experience the best of Nigerian men because the relationships they hv with outsiders are not respected. when i say outsiders i mean NON AFRICAN! they do the absolute bare minimum for Americans ESPECIALLY AFRICAN AMERICAN. i wouldn’t advise any black American to date Nigerians. its never gonna end well.

    •  8 месяцев назад +1

      Not true. I’m American and was raised with men (my father and brothers) who were very overprotective and didn’t play about me. The average American guy couldn’t understand why I was not easy to take advantage of. They were not used to a lady telling them no to sex. I was pursued by a Nigerian and ended up marrying a Nigerian. We currently live in the USA 🇺🇸

    The settle-down part, it’s a lie. Any man knows if he wants to marry you from day one or not be it Nigerian or anywhere.
    It has nothing to do with Nigerians at all. When we marry we just don’t marry the beauty alone. the families of both parties have to make sense. No Nigerian will want to marry into a family that is full of baggies and drama.
    Well, I love your disclaimer anyway.

However when we had that short break up he claims that's when he met her. Then he got back with me just to scare me. So I wouldn't dare mess with them anymore. I have one left who is actually 61 and he's pretty great but he is now giving me lack of attention. So I think East African men are a lot better at least when they cheat on you they'll let you know. I don't think all the Nigerian man are the same, I think there are some good people in Nigeria man and I think there are some people that is bad out of Nigeria man either living in Nigeria or abroad I think some of them have a good intention from the beginning to be honest. The best advice try to understand them learn their culture try to know their family try to see their family as your own family don't be like an American lady you know what I mean by that, try to be like them love them respect them because they like a lot of respect and demand a lot of respect from a woman make sure you show them love and make sure you always want to be with them treat them like your king then you will enjoy them don't try to be control those are the some of the things that don't really like? They hate it when a woman is controlling them always have a conversation with that over time are so many things.... just know that people come from abroad just to marry Nigerian men every day that is to tell you they have some things in them that is good that nobody see 👀 but God know the best thank you very much all I wish you learn from this comment 🙏 from Nigeria 🇳🇬

    Nigerian men I can tell you for a fact cannot deal with any woman who will not mix with their extended families. They are very family oriented. They take good care of their ladies, for sure. Nigerians are all about culture, and their families come first, versus the African American culture. I would say take your time and blend yourself into their culture and I guarantee you, you will enjoy them after all. You are a good looking sister and shouldn't any problem being my sister in-law.

    There is a Nigerian saying " that what you are looking for at Sokoto is in your sokoto" .
    Meaning: You don't have to go to UK to find your Nigerian man. In your case, just you bit the wrong hook. Stuff like that happens everyday randomly. No need for the generalization with your small sample size.

Claiming they love me but only try to scam me. They asked for my bank log in, sent me fake checks and only talk to me when they want to transfer money. My sister is married to a nigerian man and he cheats on her all the time and treat her like trash. They have four kids together but he still don't care. He still treats her like trash.

    Everyone is talking about Nigerian men like they are a form of addiction. I keep the same question; why is it that any woman who dates a Nigerian man finds it hard to date another man if the relationship ends. They are not perfect but they are sweet. Please, leave Nigerian men for Nigerian women. Their women understand their men better. They are the most unique and sought-after African men.

    • @nyaintunyaintu509

      Lmfao yea that’s why a lot y’all women cry during relationships.. please I have a lot of Nigerian friends who are miserable as hell.
      Some of yall are misogynistic
      Tribalistic as hell…mentally, verbally and physically abusive.
      You’re right tho, yall women understand yall because they take your nonsense. Nigerian women especially the Yoruba are raised to worship men… divorcee is frowned upon because the women would rather d!e then be single parent.
      Toxic culture. I dated an Igbo who was very very very very generous.. with his money and also his PRICK… do u know why RAN because he had a nasty mouth…very very misogynistic!!

    • @ReinaAfricana
      @ReinaAfricana 11 месяцев назад

      It's funny you that mention this but plenty of your Nigerian brothers are too busy chasing other black women because they claim there is no good Nigerian women for them. Even when I tell them to just stick with their women. Because we don't like scammers Yahoo boys you get what I'm saying. You also have to understand that most African Americans are of Nigerian descent as well but at least it's a bit easier to deal with African American men.

    • @ReinaAfricana
      @ReinaAfricana 11 месяцев назад

      They are also not the most sought after men they just happen to be abundant in several countries. I like to go for African men who I can't find in my country. So if I see a bunch of Nigerians in a place I'm just going to assume that it s*** where they come from. And yeah sadly I am of Nigerian descent but I was born and raised over here anywho I see way too many of them. It's like seeing a bunch of headaches So I'm going to go for the Africans that I don't see like I've never met a man from Uganda until I went to Uganda. It's the same with Tanzania never met anybody from there unless I'm there in Tanzania.
