i hate to break it to you bro, but TimTams have 0.05% alcohol in em and contains cochineal which is basically a colouring ingredient that comes from insects. however, TimTams from Indonesia are halal though. i know...i was also sad when i found out 😞
Alcohol is allowed up to a certain percentage if it’s just inherently absorbed in the food. Most madhabs debate that the limit is at 0.1-0.5% alcohol, so 0.05% is a problem. Insects being halal or haram depends on madhab as well
A little amount of alcohol where it doesn't effect you even for a little bit, is not prohibited. However instead of taking knowledge from random comments on the internet like mine, you should do your research aswell 😊
