At minimum the players should at least stand there for the Anthem. You don't have to put your hand on heart but at least stand there for your team and respect.

Two years ago, colleges moved up the time of the Anthem at basketball games, probably to prevent kneeling. Players warm up and then go to the locker room to change. While they're there, they play the Anthem. I've only seen a couple of teams stay out for the Anthem. I've seen players wait for it, but their coaches push them off the floor. I was at a college softball game this weekend and there were a couple of kneelers on the visiting team.
Any team that doesn't come out for the anthem or kneels should automatically forfeit the game! And any individual who disrespects the anthem in any matter should be made to sit out the entire game!
