It is good for a special occasion. But it was a bit sad that Kanae-san had to leave before she get to meet Pikachu. You should go again and make sure she meets Pikachu.
And if I were you I would get the Pikachu mug . It looks so cool. My current mug at home is Mickey. I would gladly replace Mickey with Pikachu LOL ^_^

I am 1 year older than John. I felt fine watching it live. John and Kanae got me the giggle a few times, expecially when I realise it was John who was taking most of the food pics while Kanae looked on patiently ^_^;;
It didn't feel like 1.5 hours. I was surprised when I saw the clock.
Really enjoyed this video as well. Food looked good for being Pokemon themed. Placing this on my list of places to try when I come to Japan.
Do have to say that you and Kanane do make a very cute couple.

You spent $70 at Pokemon cafe. With a great meal and great view. A nice show. I paid $70 bucks in a not nice restaurant and the food was cold and the size of a peanut. I wish to go to Japan just to eat. 😃👍🎃🧡💜🖤👻🍁🍂☕🥪🍰🥧

Thanks for having recorded this! for the price, I think it's fair, considering a lot of the plates are also hand crafted it seems? But yes, I guess they do keep the theme a bit more suited for children so, no black coffee or alcoholic drinks. I'd totally try it for the experience. I also love that they have Pokemon music in the background which gives a nostalgic feel to me (music used in the Pokemon games)
EDIT: You can know if Pikachu is a boy or a girl by the tail. If it's a bit heart-shape, then it's a girl
EDIT2: Not sure how possible it is to ask them, but I'm kinda curious as to how the Pikachu costume works. The person inside must be short and I can't quite figure out how they can see their surroundings

the coasters are actually eevee evolutions and in total there are 8 of them. but flareon the fire one is one of my favorite!

John, no idea if you will read this or not. The big wall just before you showed the Pokemon Center DX, is in chronological order of the game. Also at the end of the Pokecenter DX is a very unique screen allowing you to use touch screen to look into Pokemon

I think it’s less about the food, although it was surprisingly good, but it is fun. The location is excellent. But yeah, pricey.
You pay for the Atmosphere, you pay for the service and the art the food is served. The prices are of course way too high. But for a one time experience, it's fine.

You've described Mimikyu's design pretty well, yeah. You would have been eating the Pokemon that is sad Pikachu is so popular so it made a costume so it could be loved as much as Pikachu is. Yeah it's freaky. I love it but let's not lie about how freaky that is.

I died looking at their price😂.., I like how you are into these cute cafes now..its so interesting..oh ya, I just heard that some of the cafe in Japan does not allow sharing of food/drinks ..is it true?
It’s fun! ... hmm, I never heard of that. I think they will always give you another plate if you want to share. If you’re sharing a small donut and a glass of water, that’s maybe not so cool, but it shouldn’t be prohibited. Typically sharing in japan is the norm. You order a lot of things and everyone takes a little. I’ll look out for any unusual NO SHARE policy places.

I think what meluvpany meant by sharing is that you order 1 dish for 2 people. I don't think you should do that at a restaurant, even if they allow it.

I watch some other theme cafe.,the RUclipsr came with her camera person, even though she ordered few dishes (enough for 2 people)since they r doing food vlogging , but the restaurant will charge according to pax that came. And I know what's normally do and don't for cafe.
