Song: Ankomst
Lyrics:
I glitrende solskin
Et landskap som våkner
Vi seiler inn mot havnen
Hjem til deg i dine armer
En historie å fortelle
Ankomst ankomst gi meg havn
Ankomst ankomst åpne din favn
La dine sorger hvile i havet
Et sted mellom nord og sør
Vinden synger de evige toner
En sage å fortelle
-----
Translation:
In the sparkling sun
A landscape waking up were
sailing in towards the
harbour [port]
Home to you in your arms
A story to tell
Arrival, arrival give me
a harbour [port]
Arrival, arrival open your arms
Let your sorrows rest at sea
Somewhere between north and south
The wind sings the eternal notes
A saga to tell Видеоклипы
So beautiful. Love this song!
this song is like wicked soothing
I love gothic, symphonic, metal and celtic music. Pity; no one shares my tastes. I'm such a misfit.
I do. I love ALL genres that you mentioned. You're not a misfit, you have good taste
This is neither gothic per say, nor celtic. wrong area.
but yes. For old world music you are not alone at all.
I've been loving Ayreon lately. 💜
Awesome
Amazing song. Actually makes me want to learn the language.

Arrival
In the sparkling sun
A landscape waking up
We're sailing into port
Home to you in your arms
A story to tell
Arrival, arrival, welcome me
Arrival, arrival, open your arms
Let your sorrows rest at sea
Somewhere between north and south
The wind sings the eternal notes
A saga to tell
Thank you ^^
Svedka!
I speak dutch, and when I read the lyrics I understand half of it.
Para algunos dialectos de alemán de Suiza, ocurre lo mismo
@mannydib Sindarin had its roots very firmly in the grammar of Finnish...
it's a good thing that sindarin didnt have 4,500 forms of each verb though, as in finnish...
YAH .. SHUR ... Yew betcha it be fine band ... yo guchi mondo
exact opposite, scandinavia is a peninsula and so really small part of northern finland can be considered to be part of it. in some countries they include denmark to be also scandinavia.
It's funny how much I can understand because I understand a little bit Danish, lol.
I know that this song is in Norwegian though.
@shadowhearts89 just to add to the comment mannydib already made, Sami also belongs to the Finno-Ugric family (even though it is also spoken in Sweden and Norwegian).... but I guess what you had in mind was the geographical Scandinavia, a term that is often used of the entire area where these languages are spoken. It gets kinda confusing, I know ;)
I love Kristine
En gåva från Min lilla fågel i Toscana Italien, en fullfjättrad poet, intilligent som få ....med kärlek...
@shadowhearts89
Finnish is not Germanic. It is in the Finno-Ugric family. Its actually outside the Indo-European language grouping. That said, its a beautiful language and JRR Tolkeins favorite. He created his elvish languages based on Finnish
Once up on a time? Norge own Sweden, Sweden own Finland, Denmark make war to Sweden... and Universe take it all back soon! So? Musik is the thing!
@shadowhearts89 true about Sami, but Finland is not a part of Skandinavia. L2Geography.
How do I make this song repeat?
Actually Quenya is more based on Finnish, while Sindaring also contains elements of Welsh. Sorry for being a smartass :P
Why are people discussing this here anyway?
Scandinavian countries: Norway, Sweden, Denmark.
Nordic: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Finland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Åland.
I've noticed how literally everyone who disagrees with this (not only on YT) aren't Scandinavian. Scandinavia and the Scandinavian peninsula are two different things, the latter not having anything to do with what makes a country or people Scandinavian. It's pretty ridiculous to believe the opposite when 99% of Scandinavians will tell you you're wrong.
Finland is a part of Scandinavia but it's not a part of the nordic as I think you thought of. Scandinavia: Sweden,Norway,Danmark,Finland,Iceland
Nordic: Sweden,Norway,Danmark
I believe the opposite.
You're wrong.
jk funny joke :3
No, on the contrary... Finland is a nordic country, but not a Scandinavian one. You've got it mixed up.
Translation is a little off
