- White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby took questions from the White House press corps on Monday, hours after President Biden sent a letter to Democrats in Congress again maintaining he would remain in the presidential race. Calls have been growing among Democrats for Biden to end his campaign since his debate with former President Donald Trump.
