    STORYLINE
    Sweden's crown Princess Victoria and her husband, Prince Daniel were in France on Monday on their first official trip abroad since their royal wedding just over three months ago.
    The couple arrived in France on Sunday and are due to stay until Wednesday.
    On Monday they took part in a variety of events to celebrate the two hundredth anniversary of French General Jean-Baptiste Bernadotte becoming the Prince and subsequently King of Sweden.
    As part of the tour tracing the Princess' French ancestry, the Swedish royal couple visited a chateau that once belonged to General Bernadotte in the town of Savigny-le-Temple, some forty five kilometres (27 miles) south of Paris.
    Locals dressed in nineteenth century costumes to greet the royal couple ahead of their tour of the chateau grounds by horse-drawn carriage.
    The couple are expected at the Elysee Palace on Tuesday to meet French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
