The insects house is very cool! It would be cool to have a honey bee hive as well, and then the honey as a zoo souvenir! 😎

Besides flamingos, gibbon calls are the sound I most associate with zoo visits. They make me so happy. I'm so glad we can hear these incredible siamang calls throughout our zoos now.
The Amur leopards are very beautifully animated in this, I’m very happy we got another leopard (besides the snow leopard).
It’s nice we got an animal, the scimitar horned oryx (from my point of view), that is classified as Extinct in the wild. These animals definitely deserve more attention.
The Przewalski’s horse is also a very good choice they added since I’m not sure if too many people know about them. They’re very pretty and truly wild horses
And the Gibbons are pretty cool, it’s cool seeing them swing around and hear their loud calls
they should make a extinct animals dlc just to mix it up a bit, im not saying put mammoths and dinosaurs in it, im talking about more recent extinctions like the thylacine, quagga, giant moa and so on.
The new grasses/meadows are beautiful, great additions! The animals are fantastically rendered as usual, I think my favourite is the horse!
Wow this pack does have a lot of really cool stuff... Part of me wishes that some of the backstage stuff (like shovels, hose pipes, etc.) were part of the free update rather than in a paid DLC but I am very excited for all of the items. And the animals will be fun too. And I'm curious to see what your new zoo will be!

The siamangs are so loud, it would drive me crazy but it's a fun thing to add! I love the horses~

Whoo, conservation pack! I think the choices in animal species could have been a _little_ more exciting, I'm mainly missing the golden lion tamarin as it is a flagship species for zoo conservation. But I adore the siamangs! Love the chorus call. I worked with them for a short time a couple of years ago, and just hearing that sound brings me back. I lived a couple of blocks away from the zoo at the time and I could often even hear them at home. Needless to say hearing protection was mandatory when cleaning their night enclosure 😅
Nice to see some more utensils to fill out back stage areas! I would love it if they added UTVs for the zookeepers to use. Probably too complicated to patch in, but it would feel even more realistic and could make your animal husbandry more efficient.
The 'horse thing' at 9:35 is called flehming by the way 😁 They do it to sniff out pheromones and other scents better
IDK, this is the first pack where I've found the species list 100% solid. If you wanna talk flagship species for zoo conservation, then you can't really get much more iconic than the big three they chose. Whenever I think of conservation work done by zoos, those are invariably the three that first come to mind. And if there was any primate most deserving of a spot currently, as much as I want more monkeys, it was the siamang (any gibbon, really, but siamangs are among the most ubiquitous). Obviously, when it comes to excitement that's a question of personal taste and I can't dispute that, but in terms of how they contribute to the games development as a zoo simulator, I think Frontier made the best possible choices they could have. Genuinely think it's the best DLC so far.
Anyway, that's not to put your comment down. Funny story with the siamangs, their calls really are deafening haha. Strongly agree on the UTV's. I've wanted vehicles that can simply follow normal paths in a zoo sim since ZT2 haha. Road trains would also be really cool, for example.
@@armata_strigoi_0 Oh yeah the ones they chose are definitely iconic too. Maybe a little less so for the amur leopard as there have not been any individuals reintroduced into the wild (as far as I'm aware). Which is understandable because there needs to to be a suitable and safe habitat first in which they can thrive. It's just that when I think of conservation success my mind immediately wanders to the golden lion tamarin. Might just be my love for primates and the excessive amount of ungulate species we already have in the game haha.
This pack was really exciting to me, because of the horses and the foliage! Really happy how it turned out.
What are the important dlcs to get for this game?
@@oolacilesbotnet6564 I would say the conservation pack is a must, since you get so much foliage. Other dlcs are depending on your taste. If you want all the animals, I would recommend getting all dlcs but if you only like a selective number of them, buy only a few. :)
The horses name is pronounced She-val-skee's
Oh also about the horses, they are still undomesticated and have proven to be quite aggresive towards people, despite this they're still very cool!

I’m real excited by this pack, primarily because the Scimitar Horned Oryx is one of my favorite animals. Also because for once I’m excited by the building material expansions. The backstage details are always my favorites.
For a moment I was wondering why would you need to look up pronanciation of the horse name since it's so easy. But then I realized that it is a Polish surname, so no wonder that I can pronounce it with no problem as I'm a Pole. So well, you butchered the beggining, middle was okayish, but the ending was on point 👍🏽
You might not realise it as a native speaker, but some longer Polish words are nightmare to pronounce 😅. I am Czech so i can roughly understand spoken Polish, but I correct pronaunciation is difficult for some of us. Btw we call the Przewalski horse ,,kůň Převalského".
Yeah longer words can be a problem even for native speakers if they have to many weird or simillar sounds in it. I love that Czech word for horse is kuň, in Polish it's koń but kuń is used as a funny way of calling them, like to make fun in memes.
@@Pryma96 Perhaps you know of a breed that we usually call the Konik Pony. It's a Polish breed commonly used for grazing here in England, so your comment just made me realize the name we use means "horse horse" haha
Yeah, my hometown is in Natonial Park which this horse is it's symbol and in elementary and junior high school we had lessons about it's history, connection to tarpan, features that allows it to live in forest etc. But yeah you kinda call them small horse horse kinda like moon moon the wolf xd In Polish we call them "Konik polski" or "Konik biłgorajski".
@@Pryma96 Cool, what a coincidence! Your names make a lot more sense haha. I've seen them a number of times here because as I mentioned, they're often used on nature reserves to graze the land, mostly due to being an attempt at breeding back tarpan as you say. Though no offense, they're a wonderful animal, but I've always thought we should use our native Exmoor ponies more frequently. They're an ancient breed, in fact they look somewhat similar to Przewalski's horse (though they're not much more closely genetically related than any other domestic horse).
They actually just added a lot of animals that are here in the zoo of my hometown. I’ve always wanted to rebuild our city zoo in this game.
My ranking of the animals, worst to best (not that I hate any of them, they're all good):
5. Amur leopard: Ok, I really like it, I do, but its eyes shouldn't look that sad. Ok, in-game it does look miles better than it did in the atrocious screenshot that was shown on Twitter, it looked so puppy-eyed, traumatized and cartoony in that picture that it was even compared to the old "bintuwrong" and people wanted it to be fixed the same way. It looks way more realistic in-game but it would still look better with more fierce-looking eyes, I still like it but why does it look sad? XD
4. Oryx: Ok, it looks a lot better than I expected and anatomy-wise it's perfect, but I don't know, shouldn't the patches on them be a brighter shade of orange? I saw these oryxes in person not long ago in a safari park in Texas and the ones I saw all had bright orange patches on their bodies, I don't know, maybe it's just color variation? They still look great.
3. Axolotl: It's so cute! It doesn't move much but it looks so cute!
2. Horse: It looks magnificent, it looks like they took a picture of the real thing and put it into the game, that's how good it looks, but it's in second place because...
1. Siamang: In my opinion this is the best animal in this pack not only because it's also just as photorealistic as the horse, but also because it's so unique compared to the other primates so far because of those sick brachiating animations, and its walking animation is so funny, it walks like a person with long arms, LOL. Also their sounds are amazing, I love them. Also the siamang makes me think of The Mitchells VS. The Machines, LOL.

Anywho, like always, this has been a good DLC. The leopard still looks a little too sad for me but it's starting to grow on me. XD

Siamang are animals that exist in Indonesia, and that's why their names are similar to Indonesians. This primate is increasingly threatened with extinction, especially in the Sumatran region. Like the name Susilo, and I laughed so hard coz Susilo is the first name of the former president in Indonesia. Man, this game is something.
You can tell leucistic axolotls from albino axolotls by looking at the eyes
Leucistic ones have dark eyes (like how white tigers still have stripes), while albinos have red eyes

Przewalski’s Horse is The last remaining true wild horses from the last ice age
Just because no one else said it, Przewalski's Horse is actually pronounced "Sheh-Vhal-skee's" Horse :)
The 'p' at the beginning is not silent, you have to pronounce it. It's Przewalski, not Szewalski

“Per-zwal-ski’s” Horse. It’s from Mongolia and it is one of the most ancient horse breeds still around.
I mean... I would be all in for a "conversation pack". ;)
Pronounciation guide:
Przewalski’s = “She-wal-skees”
Axolotl = “Ash-oh-lowt”
Also, please do not put the Przewalski’s Horse in a petting zoo! They are the only extant species of truly wild horse. The mustang, Assateague Wild Horse, brumby, etc. are all just populations of feral domesticated horse. But the Przewalski’s Horses that are alive today have never been domesticated. Like zebras, they are aggressive towards humans and hard to tame. They were extinct in the wild at one point but were reintroduced in the 90s thanks to zoo breeding programs. It’s important that they are not displayed as domestic animals but as truly wild horses, to remind people that they are the last of their kind and must be preserved.
Just so you know for the future Przewalski is pronounced as shuh-vaal-skee
