This phone definitely grabs attention the most interesting feature of the device is huge battery with super fast charging and we can't forget it's camera too its literally amazing.
I'm on my 4th new phone this year and it is only September ( Pixel 3, P30, S10E and now P30 Pro). Have to go to CPA( Cellphone Anonymous) before my Wife leaves me! Technology is addictive....
Had mine since day one and I have not had the urge to exchange it for anything else. I used to be a strong Galaxy S fan but now with Huawei's amazing battery and camera I can't thingk what I would exchange it for and not to forget the stunning looks too!
I had the P30 PRO for almost five month now. I am still as impressed as I was when I got it. Fantastic speed, still the best camera on the marked, and a stunning battery capacity. Superb phone.
I've had my p30 pro aurora with 8 gigs of ram and 256 varient And it is a 2 day phone I love it took it on a trip to California and it took beautiful pictures and good videos and it's fast all and all I love this phone and my mate 20 pro to. Wouldn't want to use any other phone brand.
I love the P30 pro. Ive had got the Amber Sunrise also. Ive been Huawei user for a few years now. Ive used the Samsung S10 plus and Oneplut 7 Pro for work. They dont come close to my enjoyment of having the Huawei in my pocket. Its just so underated. The extras such as sending videos etc to smart TV's etc and the other not regularly highlighted by others is fantastic. The oneplus is pretty basic. Roll on Mate 30 Pro. Looking forward to seeing what they have in-store next.
I’ve only had mine for about a month now and I absolutely love it. Definitely agree with you that I wish it had two speakers, but outside that I have zero complaints. I’m one of the rare individuals that actually likes EMUI. I had an S10+, and I’m so happy I made the switch to the p30 pro. I’m also not bothered by the lack of a QHD display. I not often have a strong enough signal to stream in 1440p anyway. I’m usually streaming in 720p, and watching 1080p movies. I enjoy your videos though! 👍🏾
EMUI have been updated several time since launch. And now in the latest EMUI, the camera performance is terrific. Especially in low light. I did some comparison with my brother's S10+ and P30 Pro blows the Galaxy away. Detail, color, sharpness, noise level; champion.
Used P10 for 2 years and now I am with P30 (non Pro) . My P10 was running still very fast and snappy like the day I've got it . I got my P30 for 550$ which is a very good price for this kind of phone . Very happy with my purchase !
I have a huawei Mate 10 , bought it last year . The dam thing still runs like butter and killer battery life . Their optimizations are great no complaints .
Hi Matthew, I have the P30 pro from 4 April 2019, I've pre-ordered it and it was about 930 euro aso came with the Huawei GT watch as bonus and I have the 8G RAM and 256G storage Breathing Chrystal version. I can say after 4 months that the phone is great, I use it as my secondary phone as I have a iPhone XS MAX 256G version as my main driver. The Huawei is better in my opinion for photos, for video I use the iPhone. Also P30 pro battery is impressive, in the night I get around 35-55% battery left in the tank. @Sam Shater Every single smart phone maker has been just trying to replicate and copy Apple since 2007, even Samsung. Lately they started having some original features, but they are cosmetic and tangential. I personally feel despise towards such behavioral patterns. Chinese generally destroy every market they enter by their massive scale production, theftery of intelectual property (even if it is not officialy protected, but sometimes even if it is) and by minimizing profit margins to zero. They are pure evil for the market on longer run...finally, it would never hapenned if the technology was not exposed to them by moving production facilities to China, and techological secrets started diffusing around.... asking why smart phone as a concept is copy cat reveals a lot about you....turn your brain on.....

Nice video :) I sold my iphone 8 plus and bought this phone a week ago and im satisfied. I was gonna choose S10+ but P30 pro's battery (with 40w supercharge) and speed is much better...thats all matter for me tho..display resolution is fine, mono speaker is fine for me.
Been using the huawei p30 pro for 3 months. Great for battery life and photography, I do agree videoing could be better however still would say its a brilliant phone to use and own. Don't mind emui software, haven't experienced any issuss
Your point is absolutely accurate. I think manufacturers use full hd display because it's power efficient. The P30 pro is the battery champ because of this thing; the full hd screen.
I have The p30 PRO and its amazing i dont use a case cause i sanna embrace that design. Love The display and battery is huge and lasts forever. I have The freebuds PRO to go with it. They work soooo well together. Display is vibrant and amazing. Huge fan

P30 Pro is my first android phone after having used iPhone since 2011. Now I've been using my P30 Pro since early April and still been in love with it. Great battery performance and camera.
Nothing is wrong with this phone beside a mono speaker.. This phone is still awesome, I use it more than my galaxy s10+there is not much of a difference between screens, u can't barely tell. Quad HD is just a battery killer.
Month later, the experience with this phone is great! Blew me away with the camera setup, battery life, EMUI is smooth and fast... Just, a great overall product. Thumbs up for Huawei!
I use it since the first pre-order in Indonesia until now and I never fall in love with a smartphone like this before. I've use iPhone, Samsung, Xiaomi but this device is amazing. The best part, of course the battery and the camera.
I brought it on final April and I had a great experience on use, everyday gives me autonomy for the large battery and the performance is smooth, also the camera is a delicious and favorite part to use, I was able to take some night pictures without any additional lens or tripod, and the customer service is great they give you use tips and photography too
Have had my Huawei P30 Pro for a second week now and boy do i love it.... I've opted for the blue Arora and i can't get enough of it. Plus I'm from the UK and got a good deal from carphone warehouse and have my free smartwach coming...Best phone I've had.
Greatest phone in 2019 for me!, bought it when the “panic started “ from the USA banned Huawei, for as low as 350 US dollars, and it’s been the greatest bought that I made, 2 days of charge, great camera, and software, could use some upgrades a bit more often on their UI to try and make it more interesting specially for those who like the Samsung One UI, but in general terms, I think the only competition on the short term would be the new Mate 40 pro!, kind regards from Mexico!!

I have P30 Pro over 2 months and I'm still impressed by battery life - it's just incredible and I never had smartphone before with battery lasting so damn long. Many RUclipsrs 'cried' that EMUI is so bad and basically can't use to that - it's really good, everything working just fine and that was playing on my nerves a little, just chill the f*** up 🤭. I heard many complaints about the speaker - it's also better than average and very loud - could better with stereo speakers but I really can't complain over the quality. It's annoying that some of the RUclips creators just praised Samsung or iPhone. When I'm thinking iPhone X Max I want I feel like slightly overcooked then slightly dried "macaroni" with blandest yellow cheese and glass of water heated up to 36° Celsius and stirred with rhubarb stick
Really nice experience and the update is quite frequent too as compared to my previous smartphones. As I am typing this comment, my P30 Pro is downloading the latest system update.
Having the phone myself for a few months, I can say that it's amazing. I don't think the display is bad, 1440p would be nice, but it's certainly a huge upgrade from the P20 pro, it's sharp enough and is not grey under a bright light unlike other OLEDs. The camera is hands down the best for photos, you can fool people that you used a DSLR, and the zoom is insanely good.
Actually I am still using P9 😬 Good Phone, Smooth software, Decent Camera.But No Security Patches.... (last 1 year) Few weeks back i changed the Case to Transparent and people still notice & Ask About it.... maybe due to back camera portion. I was Waiting For Amber Sunrise P30(Non Pro) but they never released it in India.... Now waiting For Mate 30 Lite

P30 pro, best phone I've ever owned. Last 3 months I've used the s10 plus, iPhone X's+, pixel 3xl and mate 20 pro.. Nothing touches this this, especially on battery life. Overall, outstanding..
This is the best phone I have ever had and I hope it continues working for years for me, it's beautiful. The only downside is the speaker isn't super loud for me but apart from that there is no downsides, it's seriously perfect.
I am a iPhone guy, but I picked up a P30 Pro for a backup device. Funny thing is, I find myself using the P30 Pro more and more as time goes by. It is really an excellent device.
Awesome phone. I was in the position to either buy Huawei P30 Pro or Huawei Mate 20X. I ended up buying the Mate 20X due to it 7.2 screen size and 5000mAh battery. 50X zoom camera would be nice but I probably won't use it as much as I would anyway. Plus both phone have the same system chip and processor. I wish they would have a make a P30X version and bring back the headphone jack.
Bought it a month and a half ago. Wanted Sunrise Amber color but it wasn't available, got Aurora instead. It's an amazing phone! The battery life and quck charging still make my jaw drop. The camera is amazing (bought the phone primarily beacuse of lense versatility) and the software modes are crazy (especially silky water under light painting), loving the fact you can use long exposure modes handheld if you want. All that said, Samsung is selling 45W charge brick separately from a Note 10+ which is a 1100USD phone..and going the Apple way. Support manufacturers which give you more for your money guys!
Mate 20 X user here (the 7.2 incher) and man. Huawei has great devices, the P20 Pro got me off Samsung and I've never looked back. 2 day battery phones, great cameras. BTW Matt, have you tried using their navigation gestures instead of on-screen nav? It frees up more screen real estate :)
Mate 20 pro from day1 and still snappy as day1. Very happy with Mate 20 Pro. No one mistakely think it's a Samsung or Apple phone b/c of its unique camera set up.
Since I had the phone... I had no complain... the photos that was taken at the begging were really weird but after an update everything turn pretty good. 2 day phone for sure even if use it a lot, Man the zoom it's amazing, Colours sometimes washed but light photoshop fixes
I love my P30 Pro. Looks like it may last 2 more iteration of the P series before I upgrade my phone again. Got it last September and never had problems with it.
I have had my P30 pro for a while now, almost 5 months and it's hands down the best phone experience I have had. The cameras are obviously the highlight but goodness the battery is everything and charges so quick. I actually like the video output from this phone a lot, I wish there was another speaker though. Looks wise it's a beauty but I had a hard time finding a good case for it and also I cannot get a good earphone for this yet in India.
Great phone had it around 4 months now. Only issue is that sometimes out of the blue the microphone won't work at crutial times forcing me to restart the device to get back in action. Other than that amazing battery, amazing camera and good overall phone.
The battery is good but a 2 day beast. After coming from the LG G6 I'm so glad to actually have software that is fast and can keep up with me. Multi tasking is a beast on this phone also. Copying and pasting and jumping between apps is so easy. The one speaker doesn't bother me. Only thing I can't seem to get working properly is night mode on this phone. Just never looks as clear as the all the other reviews I see. Otherwise, I'm loving my p30 Pro!
I think the only thing Huawei is missing in their design language is attention to detail. It would be really cool for all ports to be perfectly aligned horizontally and for the space between them to be the same. They could also hide all the microphones on a symmetrical fake speaker grill where the headphone jack would go.
Mine is the P30 and my previous phones was all Samsung with the last one was the Galaxy S8. Pros: battery lasted from 7am til i go to bed at 10pm (heavy use). Camera esp night mode is amazing, opening apps is smooth never lag (opening whatsapp on samsung can be laggy). Cons: Galaxy S8 qhd screen is better for viewing movies
I have P30 Pro since the end of June and it is really good. Only thing is, the new update Called 9.1.0.178 messed up video shooting at night, also night mode camera the colors act up, even though the daily pictures are improved and the dual camera is here for videos. Some scenes end up strange and the zooming too closely breaks up the image. Hope the new update will fix that.
9.1.0.185 update brings improvements in camera. I thought that the video quality slightly improved after the update. The only thing I dont really like is the UI

The amber sunrise is the most beautiful to me, They just released it in South Africa too. They always seem to release the best colours after it released and I hope they don't do that for the P40 when I plan to pick one up. Gonna be switching from my Note 9, the battery on the Exynos version is just sooo bad now especially with standby.
Pretty good BUT really slippery.....i was rushing for the subway one morning and the device slipped out of my hand,dropped it and cracked the glass display. But because it's a newish phone.....none of the service centres locally had any screens for replacement. Had device protection on Rogers so got my 1st screen replacement free. Via the send away option. Got the phone back in a week. You can't really use this phone without a case....just way too slippery. But the device performance is solid and the camera is amazing. Lastly,the battery life is also quite amazing.Overall I love this device and its performance.
Didn't need a new phone but my Note 9 battery keeps on depleting fast and the Camera for some reason keeps on buzzing when I use the 2X telephoto zoom. So I saw the P30 Pro and found it on ebay for a good price new. I'm glad I did move to Huawei the phone is so good overall plus that Camera is spectacular.
@Andrei T My niece or brothers Note 9 doesn't have the issue. It doesn't matter any more since I'm giving it back to Samsung as I've upgraded to the Note10+ 5G Aura Glow. 👍
Did you not get good battery on your s10 plus. Maybe I don't use it enough I only charge every second day. I have gotten 6 and a half hours screen on when I have used it a lot. Even them I could wait till the morning before charging but I usually charge it before going to bed so it's ready to go. And I don't go to bed till midnight
I've had countless phones but this is my favourite by far. It's lightning fast great software and the camera has beaten some of my professional DSLR's. Poxy apple iPhones can do a running jump out of a 10 story window for all I care, Huawei struck gold with this one.
I bought mine 2 days ago. Upgrading from s7 edge. I must admit its the best phone i ever had. Best camera maybe not as good as pixel 3 but game winner in so other many ways from pixel. Battery wise. I went to bed with 65 % last night when my s7 edge had to recharge it 1 or 2 till before bed. Best software. Notch i dont even see it👍👍👍. Bad luck Donald trump
in all fairness when 1 st year my s7 edge was amazing battry life, actually after two years i replaced battery and gave it to my mum. it still lasts longer than my s9 plus. cant wait for p30 pro to arive tomorrow judging by you tube videos it might give me a couple of extra hours over the s7 edge. no joke s7 edge was amazing with the exinos chip at over 7 hours on screen time. im seeing close to 8 hours onma p30 pro and thats using multi takss. i know its gona be a world away from the disapointing but reliable short battery life of my bixby buttoned samsung s9 plus. every day i have to charge my s9 plus 1-2 times a day. 4-5 if im using pokimon go for 4 -8 hours

It works flawlessly , I dont care about the display that is 1080+ , As long as , It is bright , color accurate . .. and the battery is outstanding ..

Bought one on friday, coming out of an Exnyos S10e. The P30 Pro is a beast, I am loving it so far.

I have The p30 PRO and its amazing i dont use a case cause i sanna embrace that design. Love The display and battery is huge and lasts forever. I have The freebuds PRO to go with it. They work soooo well together. Display is vibrant and amazing. Huge fan
been using p30 pro for almost a month now. love it. the design gives u a fresh feeling everyday and the software works so smoothly and it's like explore a new area everyday with surprise. I was an iPhone user before and this phone is right after I sold my iPhone XsMax. I'm not regret doing this~ it's cheaper but even more powerful than iphone. love it

@@monkyt9240 the camera is the best!!!! one of the main reasons I started to have the idea of changing my iPhone Xs max was Apple hyped their camera saying it's a worth $1900 camera but sadly it's not. everytime I shoot something against some lights there would be some light spots appearing in the video or pics. and I called Apple customer service , they replied its normal??? hell no. I used my old 7 plus it doesn't has this problem. it's just a fcking scam! the shotoniphone campaign. well anyway after I switched to p30 pro the first thing I checked is the camera. the camera totally blew me away!!!!

P30 Pro is my first android phone after having used iPhone since 2011. Now I've been using my P30 Pro since early April and still been in love with it. Great battery performance and camera.

Nothing is wrong with this phone beside a mono speaker.. This phone is still awesome, I use it more than my galaxy s10+there is not much of a difference between screens, u can't barely tell. Quad HD is just a battery killer.

I use it since the first pre-order in Indonesia until now and I never fall in love with a smartphone like this before. I've use iPhone, Samsung, Xiaomi but this device is amazing. The best part, of course the battery and the camera.
I brought it on final April and I had a great experience on use, everyday gives me autonomy for the large battery and the performance is smooth, also the camera is a delicious and favorite part to use, I was able to take some night pictures without any additional lens or tripod, and the customer service is great they give you use tips and photography too

Have had my Huawei P30 Pro for a second week now and boy do i love it.... I've opted for the blue Arora and i can't get enough of it. Plus I'm from the UK and got a good deal from carphone warehouse and have my free smartwach coming...Best phone I've had.

Greatest phone in 2019 for me!, bought it when the “panic started “ from the USA banned Huawei, for as low as 350 US dollars, and it’s been the greatest bought that I made, 2 days of charge, great camera, and software, could use some upgrades a bit more often on their UI to try and make it more interesting specially for those who like the Samsung One UI, but in general terms, I think the only competition on the short term would be the new Mate 40 pro!, kind regards from Mexico!!

I am using huwei p30 pro for almost 5 moths now I have to say huwei really make a good job on the battery life and camera and I have to mention that the phone is updated on the last sofware I was a susmung user for 10 years I realy fell in love with huwei is the almost perfect phone
I have P30 Pro over 2 months and I'm still impressed by battery life - it's just incredible and I never had smartphone before with battery lasting so damn long. Many RUclipsrs 'cried' that EMUI is so bad and basically can't use to that - it's really good, everything working just fine and that was playing on my nerves a little, just chill the f*** up 🤭. I heard many complaints about the speaker - it's also better than average and very loud - could better with stereo speakers but I really can't complain over the quality. It's annoying that some of the RUclips creators just praised Samsung or iPhone. When I'm thinking iPhone X Max I want I feel like slightly overcooked then slightly dried "macaroni" with blandest yellow cheese and glass of water heated up to 36° Celsius and stirred with rhubarb stick
Really nice experience and the update is quite frequent too as compared to my previous smartphones. As I am typing this comment, my P30 Pro is downloading the latest system update.
Having the phone myself for a few months, I can say that it's amazing. I don't think the display is bad, 1440p would be nice, but it's certainly a huge upgrade from the P20 pro, it's sharp enough and is not grey under a bright light unlike other OLEDs. The camera is hands down the best for photos, you can fool people that you used a DSLR, and the zoom is insanely good.

Absolutely love the p30 pro. Battery is incredible. Camera is fantastic when on holiday with the 5 and 10 zoom. Design is beautiful.

Im using P9 too! Mine is a bit laggy and battery isnt the best, but besides that it is good with games and has still a very good camera perfomance.

and For battery part Settings→Bettrey→ Low resolution Power Saving (turn it on)

P30 pro, best phone I've ever owned. Last 3 months I've used the s10 plus, iPhone X's+, pixel 3xl and mate 20 pro.. Nothing touches this this, especially on battery life. Overall, outstanding..
This is the best phone I have ever had and I hope it continues working for years for me, it's beautiful. The only downside is the speaker isn't super loud for me but apart from that there is no downsides, it's seriously perfect.
I am a iPhone guy, but I picked up a P30 Pro for a backup device. Funny thing is, I find myself using the P30 Pro more and more as time goes by. It is really an excellent device.

Awesome phone. I was in the position to either buy Huawei P30 Pro or Huawei Mate 20X. I ended up buying the Mate 20X due to it 7.2 screen size and 5000mAh battery. 50X zoom camera would be nice but I probably won't use it as much as I would anyway. Plus both phone have the same system chip and processor. I wish they would have a make a P30X version and bring back the headphone jack.
Bought it a month and a half ago. Wanted Sunrise Amber color but it wasn't available, got Aurora instead. It's an amazing phone! The battery life and quck charging still make my jaw drop. The camera is amazing (bought the phone primarily beacuse of lense versatility) and the software modes are crazy (especially silky water under light painting), loving the fact you can use long exposure modes handheld if you want. All that said, Samsung is selling 45W charge brick separately from a Note 10+ which is a 1100USD phone..and going the Apple way. Support manufacturers which give you more for your money guys!
Mate 20 X user here (the 7.2 incher) and man. Huawei has great devices, the P20 Pro got me off Samsung and I've never looked back. 2 day battery phones, great cameras. BTW Matt, have you tried using their navigation gestures instead of on-screen nav? It frees up more screen real estate :)

Mate 20 pro from day1 and still snappy as day1. Very happy with Mate 20 Pro. No one mistakely think it's a Samsung or Apple phone b/c of its unique camera set up.
Since I had the phone... I had no complain... the photos that was taken at the begging were really weird but after an update everything turn pretty good.

I love my P30 Pro. Looks like it may last 2 more iteration of the P series before I upgrade my phone again. Got it last September and never had problems with it.
I have had my P30 pro for a while now, almost 5 months and it's hands down the best phone experience I have had. The cameras are obviously the highlight but goodness the battery is everything and charges so quick. I actually like the video output from this phone a lot, I wish there was another speaker though. Looks wise it's a beauty but I had a hard time finding a good case for it and also I cannot get a good earphone for this yet in India.

Great phone had it around 4 months now. Only issue is that sometimes out of the blue the microphone won't work at crutial times forcing me to restart the device to get back in action. Other than that amazing battery, amazing camera and good overall phone.
The battery is good but a 2 day beast. After coming from the LG G6 I'm so glad to actually have software that is fast and can keep up with me. Multi tasking is a beast on this phone also. Copying and pasting and jumping between apps is so easy. The one speaker doesn't bother me. Only thing I can't seem to get working properly is night mode on this phone. Just never looks as clear as the all the other reviews I see. Otherwise, I'm loving my p30 Pro!
I think the only thing Huawei is missing in their design language is attention to detail. It would be really cool for all ports to be perfectly aligned horizontally and for the space between them to be the same. They could also hide all the microphones on a symmetrical fake speaker grill where the headphone jack would go.

Mine is the P30 and my previous phones was all Samsung with the last one was the Galaxy S8.
Pros: battery lasted from 7am til i go to bed at 10pm (heavy use). Camera esp night mode is amazing, opening apps is smooth never lag (opening whatsapp on samsung can be laggy).
Cons: Galaxy S8 qhd screen is better for viewing movies
I have p 30 rpo. Oo it is soo good for now it perfect fones I did not have any complains about it.
I have P30 Pro since the end of June and it is really good. Only thing is, the new update Called 9.1.0.178 messed up video shooting at night, also night mode camera the colors act up, even though the daily pictures are improved and the dual camera is here for videos. Some scenes end up strange and the zooming too closely breaks up the image. Hope the new update will fix that.

9.1.0.185 update brings improvements in camera. I thought that the video quality slightly improved after the update. The only thing I dont really like is the UI

The amber sunrise is the most beautiful to me, They just released it in South Africa too. They always seem to release the best colours after it released and I hope they don't do that for the P40 when I plan to pick one up. Gonna be switching from my Note 9, the battery on the Exynos version is just sooo bad now especially with standby.
Pretty good BUT really slippery.....i was rushing for the subway one morning and the device slipped out of my hand,dropped it and cracked the glass display. But because it's a newish phone.....none of the service centres locally had any screens for replacement. Had device protection on Rogers so got my 1st screen replacement free. Via the send away option. Got the phone back in a week.
You can't really use this phone without a case....just way too slippery. But the device performance is solid and the camera is amazing. Lastly,the battery life is also quite amazing.Overall I love this device and its performance.
Didn't need a new phone but my Note 9 battery keeps on depleting fast and the Camera for some reason keeps on buzzing when I use the 2X telephoto zoom.
So I saw the P30 Pro and found it on ebay for a good price new. I'm glad I did move to Huawei the phone is so good overall plus that Camera is spectacular.
@Andrei T My niece or brothers Note 9 doesn't have the issue. It doesn't matter any more since I'm giving it back to Samsung as I've upgraded to the Note10+ 5G Aura Glow. 👍

Did you not get good battery on your s10 plus. Maybe I don't use it enough I only charge every second day. I have gotten 6 and a half hours screen on when I have used it a lot. Even them I could wait till the morning before charging but I usually charge it before going to bed so it's ready to go. And I don't go to bed till midnight

I've had countless phones but this is my favourite by far. It's lightning fast great software and the camera has beaten some of my professional DSLR's. Poxy apple iPhones can do a running jump out of a 10 story window for all I care, Huawei struck gold with this one.

I bought mine 2 days ago. Upgrading from s7 edge. I must admit its the best phone i ever had. Best camera maybe not as good as pixel 3 but game winner in so other many ways from pixel.
Battery wise. I went to bed with 65 % last night when my s7 edge had to recharge it 1 or 2 till before bed. Best software. Notch i dont even see it👍👍👍.

in all fairness when 1 st year my s7 edge was amazing battry life, actually after two years i replaced battery and gave it to my mum. it still lasts longer than my s9 plus. cant wait for p30 pro to arive tomorrow judging by you tube videos it might give me a couple of extra hours over the s7 edge. no joke s7 edge was amazing with the exinos chip at over 7 hours on screen time. im seeing close to 8 hours onma p30 pro and thats using multi takss. i know its gona be a world away from the disapointing but reliable short battery life of my bixby buttoned samsung s9 plus. every day i have to charge my s9 plus 1-2 times a day. 4-5 if im using pokimon go for 4 -8 hours
