Still here watching. I alsk love the bronze ones and especially the roses. I will be looking for table cloths and doilies (with the holes going through) at the thrift shop. Thank you for the tutorial. I've never tried coffee or tea dying before. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
I love seeing how “real people” in real life situations craft!! I don’t have one of those giant sleek craftrooms either & we do pretty good at figuring out how to use our spaces!! I agree with you on the oven-drying, too much bending over & checking too soon & then checking too late! Haha! I love all your colors & lacy placemats! I have a bunch of all kinds of things, too but haven’t ventured into color yet. I think I will now!! Thanks for a great video, full of great ideas! Erica❤ hope your back pain isn’t too bad ❤
I just ordered maps of Canada, they’re sold as a pack of 3 for $35!! Yikes! But Canada’s just as big (or bigger than the US!), so it shouldn’t surprise me! And I’ve bought the British Isles, Scotland, Europe & Italy, so far, too! I will enjoy looking all over the maps, they’ll get here on Monday, so I’m looking forward to that!! ❤
OMG, Caroline.....this is the best video ever! I loved every single piece of paper you created. I've never really used a foam brush during my dyeing but you can bet I'm going to give this a try. I don't own any Shimmer Mist but do have the Ranger Distress Oxide sprays in a few colours so I'll try those---good tip to dilute it with water because it would probably be too intense otherwise. I'm also pretty sure I've been a "peeker" before they are totally dry so I'll try patience....just for the helluva it! Typically I cover my kitchen island with papers & use tablecloths I've cut down to island size & I just keep creating layers on top of each other until I run out of doilies or dye----never run out of paper!!! Thank you so much for sharing, Hugs H
thanks so much Hazel, so many things we can use to dye stuff with. And so many ways to get the effect we want. I am never in a hurry so this way works good for me. I have used shimmer mists, fabric dies, old ink from a variety of companies, alcohol inks, paints, easter egg inks, food color, etc. They all work, I have lots of fabric dye inks so I have been using that mostly along with the shimmer mists. I look forward to see some of the papers you try
@@CarolinesCraftTree My next dye job will probably be blueberry dye (like Brenda does). I found an ancient bag of frozen blueberries in the freezer & boiled the life out of them. I, too have used diluted coloured inks & that tie-dye recently. It definitely is a day-long process. H
Wonderful papers and tutorial! You can use a heat gun too to make it dry faster. Try making your own glimmer mist. I share several different ways you can dye paper on my channel if you care to take a look. TFS hugs V
Thanks Virginia, I have not tried making my own yet as have been trying to use up stuff I have.... I love dying stuff, I will check out your videos, thanks
Beautiful papers, the shimmer definitely shows. I love them! Thanks for sharing that this can be done in limited space.❤
Thank you so much!
Gorgeous papers, Caroline. I love the aqua ones, the doily ones, and the shimmer looks amazing. Great process, thank you for sharing.

LOL that is funny, always seems like if there is going to be noise outside it is right when I start a video lol

When you say dyes, what are you using for colors?
Oh. I should have waited. Nevermind. Thx.
hehe, no problem, you can use so many things tho, I just happen to have lots of fabric dyes and shimmer mists now
@@CarolinesCraftTree I love shimmer mists!
