Hi, thanks for the tutorial! Forestry bees look super intimidating and rabbit-holey and Im happy that there is a tutorial on this topic. :D
    Also to elaborate on 5:40
If the frame (or really anything) tries to drain LP from your blood network and there is no LP to be drained, you are afflicted with nausea until you sort things out one way or another.
You refill your blood network by putting a blood orb that is attuned to you into your blood altar and supply the altar with LP - either by killing something in its range with the dagger of sacrifice, poking yourself with the dagger of self-sacrifice or by running a ritual called the Well of Suffering in the altar's vicinity. This ritual requires the Elemental Inscription Tool: Dusk to set up which is a tier 4 blood altar recipe.
This ritual drains the life from mobs in the area so you either want to run a mob spawner or passive mob farm or have some name-tagged witches (they can drink potions to refill their health). I believe that some Thaumcraft golems work aswell because they come with innate regeneration but it has been years since I tried that specific interaction.
Blood Magic itself is heavily gated by Thaumcraft in GTNH. There is a fair amount of Blood Magic stuff that has to be researched in the Thaumonomicon and most of this research has warp attatched to it. Warp is Thaumcraft's insanity mechanic in that the more warp you acquire, the less sane you are and the more random frickery happens around you. GTNH changed the effects of warp and they have a list of possible effects on the wiki. It starts out kinda benign and ends with spawning a wither in your face.
I'm pointing this out because if you want to dive into Blood Magic, make sure that you have your warp removal infrastructure up and running.

Great video, answered so many questions I had. This modpack is great fun, but often my play sessions just become me clicking through the questbook/NEI and googling things for 2 hours which can get kind of boring but feels necessary to make meaningful progress lol.
It's definitely preferred and more fun to get tips from an experienced player like this.
Great job on the video, this is impressive work coming from such a small channel. Hope you keep up the good work!

Thank you so much for the kind words! After streaming so much of GTNH and my bee journey over the last year, and multiple members of my community telling me to make a video series because there wasn't any out there, I thought about the newer players and showing them a part of the pack they might get scared of tackling because of how big and expansive forestry is. I hope that I can help ease a little bit of bees and make it more approachable for complete beginners. I appreciate your support!

I’m struggling with power conversion, could you make a video or some guidance for this? Normal Greece power is consumed too quickly with forestry machines

There is ONE use for ignoble bees: You can start them running immediately to produce resources. You're going to need beeswax and honey drops, and you're going to need a metric gregload of them. Set up an ignoble bee in an apiary in its preferred environment and let it run until it dies out. Keep it segregated from your other lines. That's so many combs you wouldn't otherwise have. You don't want to crossbreed them, you don't want to do anything else with them. Just... run them until the line dies, and collect profits. Consider them as you would an ore vein, sooner or later it runs out, but you are still resource positive.
This goes double if you're jumping on this in MV or HV era. You won't really have the tech to get much further, but you can at least start burning the ignoble lines now to produce the resources you'll need later. And starting it in MV, even if you can't do anything else with it yet, will save you time later on down the line because you'll already have at least SOME combs and honey drops and beeswax to get yourself jump-started.
However, extreme care MUST be taken to completely segregate your ignoble lines from your pristine lines. You absolutely cannot permit any crossbreeding of any ignoble lines, lest they pass along the ignoble trait and destroy your other lines.

Ignoble isn't a trait you can pass on, so segregating the pristine and the ignoble bees is useless. Your other points are fine. Don't spread misinformation next time.

Well, it seems we're in a bit of a dodgy situation regarding the utility of ignoble bees for resource production. The initial statement suggests using ignoble bees to extract resources until they're chuffed off, likening them to a finite resource vein.
Ignoble bees may provide a short-term solution for resource acquisition, particularly in the mid-to-high voltage era where technological advancements may be lacking. However, the risk of contaminating pristine bee lines with the ignoble trait must be approached with caution, or you'll end up gutted.
On the other hand, prioritising pristine bees ensures consistent quality and longevity in resource production, albeit demanding more dosh and effort in acquisition. Furthermore, exploring alternative methods such as employing Botania's hibeescus to convert ignoble bees into pristine ones may offer a more ace approach.
In conclusion, players ought to carefully chinwag about the advantages and drawbacks of each strategy within the context of their gameplay style and progression objectives.

      @@3jlowes It's not a matter of either/or, it's a matter of both, really.
While collecting pristine bees, you're also going to collect a tone of ignoble bees as well. You may as well use these bees for additional resources rather than just toss them.
Granted converting them using Botania is a solution, but the hibeescus isn't easy to get to, nor is it cheap. Nor is it going to be attainable in the MV to HV era. You could save them for when you get the hibeescus online, or you can use them for early resources to kick-start your line.
My solution was quite simple. During my initial forays, I only run exclusively ignoble bees, and just letting them run passively while I go do other things. I carefully save any Pristines back for when I'm actually 'getting serious' about breeding and whatnot. I just... let them run, like an ore miner over a vein. Then, by the time I wanted to actually start hybridizing, I already had a stockpile of resources to speed up the first few steps of the process.
