Hello from the UK, I watch weekly because you have RESPECT and correct FACTS for those who have recently and past have left this earth, actors, authors, musicians, sportsman, politicians and those who have changed our world. Thank you both for your hard work for bringing a channel worth watching.
My mom was just 60 when our dad passed from Leukemia, mom lived another 32 years, keeping close and busy with 2 grown daughters and her grandchildren through the next year's. I think when someone has family close by to get them up and out, to keep them physically and emotionally engaged it makes a difference. My mom's sister lived to a month shy of 101, she outlived her husband by 18 years.
When George Michael died on Christmas Day in 2016, I was just coming out of a coma. Then Carrie Fisher died, followed by Debbie Reynolds. I was tempted to have the doctors put me back under, it was so sad. Thank you both for all that you do and for the spirit in which you do it. Happy New Year to you both! ❤️❤️
As a person whose name is often mispronounced, I suspect that same phenomenon helps give Linnea extra motivation beyond just the demands of her professionalism.

The one death on December 31st that was surprising was when Ricky Nelson died in an airplane accident. The saddest part was that his mother, the wonderful Harriet Nelson, didn't find out from the authorities that her youngest had died, but from the media wanting a soundbite from her.

Not to mention that normally each person has a sentence or two per slide, and this time we didn't have the "they are also being remembered for..." Then again, we are reminded in the Q&A that Linnea and Steve already give up a chunk of their holiday time for work, and thus there is some gratitude for their ensuring each of these people received _some_ public tribute.
I watch Legacy every week, both of you show respect for those that have passed. Unfortunately I'm finding so many that shaped my music journey are gone....
You guys are just phenomenal with your work. I'm thankful you report the deaths of ALL celebs, not just the newer stars. In the past I'd wonder, whatever happened to... some person that stopped acting moons ago. So please, we need you!!!... keep up the great work! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I used to regularly read the Obituaries section in the newspaper, but now, in the digital age, we no longer take a newspaper and I find myself looking for my weekly Legacy update instead. It is so appreciated, the work that you all put into this respectful acknowledgment of the passing of people who have impacted our world, whether in science, sports, politics, entertainment, etc. Thank you, and Happy New Year!

Dean Martin also died on Christmas Day of '95, I don't know why I remember I was so young back then. Could be my mom was always singing songs of his and others of that era and it stuck in my mind.

I just wanted to give you both a huge thank you for all the hard work that you do. Growing up, my parents would always check in the paper for the obituaries. I thought it was weird and couldn't really understand why. Today, newspapers are almost obsolete and Facebook seems to be the obituary for those we knew casually or personally. The problem with Facebook is that you have to randomly find out the hard way by visiting an old friend's page and seeing it is now a memorial page, or catch someone's post by chance a year or two after the fact. It's heartbreaking, really. I have tried to keep up with most of your posts and also know I can go back later if I missed a few. I never realized how much it can really knock you for a loop seeing so many faces you grew up with from television and the news pass away. It is also interesting learning about people I had never heard of. Sadly, it is also a reminder of our own mortality. Some people may see it as a reason to celebrate each moment. Alternatively, some may start to worry. Either way, it is information for the books. I am glad you take your time to do it. Happy New Year! 💖💖💖
Outside of notable locals, I have to go online to find out who’s passed away. The local newspaper, like many; is a shadow of itself. It costs $400 just to put an Obituary into print, & the relatively new (20 years) newspaper building was just torn down for a new development.
@@jamessimms415 $400? Do we live in 1454 (printing press up and running)? I used to deliver the newspaper when I was a kid. I did it for about 6-7 years too. The dark ink that would make my hands feel slippery after a while, the slightly acrid scent that would stay on my "delivery clothes". A twenty-year-old building is just getting started! What a waste of money and labor! When will people get that we can't waste resources like this? That's a different convo.
Rickey Henderson was tough for me. He was such an exciting player, not just as a base stealer, but also as a leadoff hitter with power. I saw him play in person many times, but my “favorite” time was a game in Baltimore when the A’s were at the Orioles. As I was settling into my seat at the start of the game, Rickey was at bat and just when my butt hit the seat he got tossed for arguing a strike call. So I didn’t see him play much but I got to see his fiery side.
It wonderful to put faces to voices, as I’ve never seen you folks. Yours is the best channel at giving details on the loss of stars. Thank you for your great work. Sincerely, John, TORONTO Canada.
Betty White's death was the icing on the shitcake that was 2021. Also, seeing the death of Teri Garr was the first time I ever shed a tear during any of your videos.
I love the Legacy channel. You always keep everyone updated on the deaths nationwide. You are always so respectful of the deaths. See you next year. ☃️🎄
It's nice to see y'all and put faces to the voices we hear. Linnea, you have one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard. You and Stephen both have calming voices. Lots of times, I'll put on your videos just to hear y'all speak. I hope it's not too freaky to say, but you really help me to take a breath and calm my thoughts. I hope y'all both had a wonderful Christmas.
Thank you for showing us you on video. Thank you for your dedication. I love honoring those we know just from seeing them in the news or on the screen. Here’s a funny for you … I always thought these were done by an AI voice! You are a real person and that makes it even more personable.
Merry Christmas from Ontario Canada, I now look forward to every Friday for legacy to put your list out. I enjoy it. I look forward to it every Friday Friday. Keep going and happy new year and long live legacy. Thank you.?
I very much appreciate the value of your channel's content and in the compassionate way you present your information. You show so much respect for notable people and the weekly schedule of your uploads we can count on to take that brief moment of reflection to honor them for their contributions and stir up the memories we have of the times when they touched our lives. Thank you for your unique service in providing us with this reliable news channel on people the world knew who have recently passed away.
As a new pastor in northern Indiana, I was told that, if the cemetery ground is green (from warmer weather, when seasonal “bugs” don’t get killed off) at Christmas, it will be brown (from multiple funerals) at Easter.
It's nice to put a face to a voice. This week, Rickey Henderson hit me in all the feels. He is only a couple years older than I and I watched him play throughout his entire career.
Thank you so much for all the work you put in to make these videos possible. My condolences to the families of all those who passed away, both young and old alike. God Bless them all and may they rest in peace. ❤❤🎉🎉🎉
I appreciate your dedication and it's great to see you both. Legacy bridges the distance providing details otherwise we wouldn't have unless there. Wishing you a Happy New Year from 🇨🇦
Always a sad time when someone passes but nothing saddened me more than when it's a young person especially those much younger than me. Like Sophie Hediger at 26. Same age as my oldest niece
I will never forget the year 2016 because that was the year my mother died. I didn't have the opportunity to fully mourn some of my favorite celebrities like Prince and others. But when George Michael died, it was very shocking. It just capped off a very bad year.
So sorry for your personal loss on top of all the ones we collectively felt that year. For my own mother, it actually was the first year in five that she didn't lose a close loved one - her younger sister in 2012, her mom in 2013, the widower of the sister in 2014, and my dad in 2015. I can recall numerous people in my life talking as if 2016 had been the end of more celebrity lives than usual, and I read two articles making little-understood points. The first was that while some of the celebrity deaths hit us all like a brick, it was easy for us to forget that George Michael, David Bowie, Carrie Fisher, and Prince all suffered from substance abuse problems that unfortunately are likely to have hastened their deaths even in the cases where they died of something else. The other was that there will inevitably be more celebrities, period, every year given the explosion of social media as well as traditional media meaning that so many more people will be reported on widely. As a result, with there being more celebrities every year, it will seem as if more celebrities are passing, but only because of an increase in the raw total number of celebrities _existing_ , not because a larger *proportion* of famous people pass away.
Yes, Ricky Henderson. A few years ago I thought I had heard that he had passed away. And was later glad to hear that was not true. I am 67 now, going on 68. Hits a little harder when they die at a younger age. Saw him one time many many years ago when he was playing working out his legs at my gym.
Legendary sportscaster Greg Gumble has died at the age of 78 from cancer. Please mention him and next week’s video and in the year in review, thank you happy holidays

I worked at a cemetery when I was younger and I noticed if one elderly person dies their spouse usually dies not far behind.
I have noticed that as well….
Both my Mums parents died 18 Months apart and my Parents died 18 months apart.
Ha! My mom survived my dad by 15 years. He was 70 ,she 85. She had a ball😂
A likely factor is the giving up on the will to live. It’s like literally losing a big chunk of yourself.

Ricky Henderson changed the game of baseball. If he got on first, it wasn't long until he was on second and then third. What a player.

It wonderful to put faces to voices, as I’ve never seen you folks. Yours is the best channel at giving details on the loss of stars. Thank you for your great work. Sincerely, John, TORONTO Canada.
Thank you two for celebrating the lives of so many. I enjoy seeing this every time you post. It gives me focus and a good center. Thank you.
You guys do a great job. I’m never going anywhere else.
#ManyThanks
Rickey Henderson, I did enjoy watching him play. Condolences and prayers to his family and friends.
Good too see what you look like.
It's "to" not "too".❤ 😉
It's "to" not "too".❤😉
@@bonkers5016 Who cares? This isn't a spelling test.
@@madisonrocca7100 True...but it says a lot about a person. It's called constructive criticism. 😉
@@bonkers5016 No, that's just YOUR opinion about a person. Do you know the one who spelled the word? Do you know ANYTHING about that person?
Thank you for all that you do do it really must be heartbreaking at times for y'all
So sad to hear about Sophie Hediger, a true champion!!!
Nice to put a face to the voice
And, a very nice face, too. Linnea is very lovely.
Yeah 👍
Love you guys! Thank you for your kindness in reporting the deaths. Also, sticking to facts is so important as you have done.
Your channel is so respectful. My nephew walked in the room and said "Happy New Year. Betty White is dead "
Thank you for what you do. I look forward to your broadcasts each week.
Happy Holidays to you all! Thank you for all you do to keep us informed.
Linnea has a soothing voice! I am so glad to have found your channel a ways back. Now, I have my whole family listen and follow along the narration. ❤
Finally a face to the female voice ❤️
Merry Christmas from Ontario Canada, I now look forward to every Friday for legacy to put your list out. I enjoy it. I look forward to it every Friday Friday. Keep going and happy new year and long live legacy. Thank you.?
Great to see you guys, you do a great job, thanks for your efforts.
Thank you for all you do. I am glad you publish these obituaries. Your videos are always respectful. Thank You!
It is so nice to put a face to the voice! Thanks for the classy, honoring way that you report!
Legacy has become my weekly "go to site". So thank you for all you do!!
U look much younger than I expected and yes your voice is very soothing!😍

We’re so sorry for your loss @sweethaven5
I lost 4 close family members in the fall/winter months. None flu related. It’s a sad time for me.

They did not put Alfa Anderson. Lead vocalist for Chic.
They did mention her last week Henry.
@@bryankolen7265 You're right. I forgot. Sorry for that.

Thank you so much for telling about celebrities that have passed you do a great job
RIP Rickey Henderson 🙏🏾 😢 🙏🏾
🥲🙏
You learn something new every day. Happy Holidays.
Always a sad time when someone passes but nothing saddened me more than when it's a young person especially those much younger than me. Like Sophie Hediger at 26. Same age as my oldest niece
I would like to say thank you for the compassionate way you go about paying respect to those who have passed.
Rickey Henderson was one of my favorite baseball players growing up even though he was part of that Blue Jays team that beat my Braves in 1992.
So very nice of you to do this video. Thank you and yes Jan. 2024 david soul of starsky and hutch died. I really enjoyed his work.😢😢😮
I will never forget the year 2016 because that was the year my mother died.
Happy Holidays. I love your voice ❤ and your channel
I love your program
You guys always do a great job
Thank you for all you do. Happy New Year.
Thank you and Happy New Year.
