He's an American Italian, not an Italian Italian. Big difference. My dad grew up in an American Italian household but we had a guy work with us in construction from Italy, nothing like what we see here in the US stereotype
However we noticed it seems like everyone that comes from Italy can sing like an opera singer, he didn't have a great voice but once he started singing opera music it was like nothing else haha
Hands down one of the best auditions in the history of all singing competition shows. Arguably. He’s even got the blue eyes like “old blue eyes” Frank Sinatra.
He auditioned for American Idol. Thats where I first saw him. Season 14 or 15. It was cute. I don't watch AI except the auditions, so I don't know how far he went. After the audition on his way out, they played the theme to the godfather.

I am a 30 year old man, and once he starts the second version it really is all I can do to keep myself from tears. This man, with this song, has out done the master's. Wherever you are good sir BRAVO.
Sal may very well be my FAVORITE singing act in AGT History. There are plenty of times where I'm tired of singing acts getting all the glory in a show thats suppose to promote every talent under the sun and yet singers get more golden buzzera and more wins on this show than anyone. But Sal did something amazing. He didn't come out with just a song and a tearful story (though both were incredible to hear), he came out with a personality. He came out there and offered something I've not seen many singers do in a long time. I wanted him to win so badly but at least I know that no one is going to forget Sal who came out and did it HIS way
It's almost better this way he gets all the notoriety and doesn't have a soul sucking contract to extort him for the next 20 years. Trust number two is always better when the world knows it should be number one in these Talent showcases. Number one just means giving away a bunch of money lol
I purposely think the last song he picked about the serial killer was done on purpose to get second. You could have gone out with my way or something huge like that and really sold it. But I don't think he wanted first just to give a ton away for years he just wanted the notoriety he already had and now owes the show nothing and controls his own money amd future. Perfect ending in my opinion.
I know he’s chunky (too much of loving momma’s delicious Italian cooking, no doubt), but he’s simply gorgeous. Gorgeous face, esp. the eyes and a personality with so much charisma, he makes Elvis look like a dry twig. You can tell he’s got a huge soul - which apparently comes from being so loved by so many family members - his entourage, as he calls em, lolol. He’s lucky
This much confidence and charisma is magical for his age.

Stephen Reaves I'm tired of people like you just demeaning people's beliefs just because they don't match yours, I myself am not Christian and don't believe in heaven but at least I respect others beliefs no matter how illogical they seem to me, you my friend just wasted 5 seconds of your life to type something out of spite to achieve what? Satisfaction in others opposition and pain from your opinion... the definition of evil.
cam ciaramella (in emperor Palpatine voice) YOU WEAK INCOMPETENT FOOL!!! HA HA HA HA!!!
The simplicity and the pureness in his eyes got me crying like a baby.
He performed live in my hometown Huntington New York after America‘s got talent he was so popular he had to do extra shows out of popular demand
Well tell him I'm in love 😊😍❤️
D Bone yeah he lives right on Long Island he isn’t far away
Someone once asked me what it means to actually believe in yourself..I showed them this guys attitude.
And THAT! is an excellent way to win a girl's heart. If Heidi Klum is not in love with Sal, I don't know what the heck she was doin'.
This segment deserves an Emmy for assembled cast, best song in a musical variety show, best actor in a guest role, and for editing that makes a grown man a little choked up.
Hahahahahaha
I’ve watched this episode several times, as it’s come across different channels in the past several years. IT NEVER GETS OLD! Love this guy, the way he honors his Mother and Grandmother ( Probably his whole family) shows his true love for them! Bravo, Amazing voice and showmanship..
I think I found where Frank Sinatra's soul went.
Yes

Shain Foecke 👏🏾👏🏾💙

Hands down Heidi's best Golden Buzzer
Sam Feldstein no one made it as far
I still watch his performance over and over again and wish him to win every time. To me, he has been the best American Got Talent performer I ever seen.
he sounded exactly like Frank SInatra and he was so awesome in everything he did, he was fun when he came out and started talking, he was acting as if the show was his and his singing was so good he deserved to take the whole show
Alex Suxiashvili i opened this video and he started to talk that kind of voice made me smile so much and then he sang and i couldnt believe how good he was
No one will ever sound like Sinatra, you don't know Sinatra if you think they are alike.
TheDomain16 I agree, similar but not exactly alike

Theo Defranceschi level 100 mafia boss

Quoted a Sinatra song after singing Sinatra. How you doin?
Yup, that was smooooooth as silk.
Theo Defranceschi Adorable!!!!
I’m italian and live in Italy 🇮🇹 more stereotypes about our but this boy sing very well
He's an American Italian, not an Italian Italian. Big difference. My dad grew up in an American Italian household but we had a guy work with us in construction from Italy, nothing like what we see here in the US stereotype
However we noticed it seems like everyone that comes from Italy can sing like an opera singer, he didn't have a great voice but once he started singing opera music it was like nothing else haha
........era una parodia dei Soprano, calma Lambrenedè...
yooo bro what song in 0:00
@@ajididit9563 Dean Martin - "Mambo Italiano"
best performance in the history of America's got talent
I would give my life to have 1% of this guy's confidence.
Pascal Pimpare but you’d be dead yea you’re an idiot
Gangsterass Snowman Big talk from a little shit behind the screen..
Mr. Wonderful it’s not reality big to call someone an idiot for faulty logic.. let me guess “ YoU tAlK ThAt ShIt I CaN BeAt U Up gtfo
After the audition on his way out, they played the theme to the godfather.
one could say this cover was "perfect"
one out of 100 people get this reference
Ah yes
TFS homie
@@paarthsujoria9803 Didn't think i would find a tfs reference here
Cell did it his way.
Eight years later, and I still come back for a feel-good moment. What a great memory!
People like this make me proud to be Italian
People like this make me fall madly in love with Italians. He's got an amazing personality and phenomenal talent.
🇮🇹
It's good to be Italian
This young man irradiates Italian personality. This is a true Latino. He owned the stage, the crowd and the judges ans, he made it look easy. That Blondie was dripping sweat, lol
ayy oo how ya gooin
-italian family
-delivers pizza
-Big tommy looks like he’s a part of the Mafia
-eats pizza in introduction
-Intro song is Mambo Italiano from Dean Martin
You can’t get more Italian *American* than this
Edit: yeah i guess it's more Italian American
True 😂😂
This doesn't look Italian at all lmao, maybe Italian american straight out of a movie
hahahahahha you are right
Yeah you can backstab your brother give the judas kiss and a red rose.
Lorenzo Montagna Haha, yeah it’s more Italian stereotypes
6 yrs later and I STILL think he’s amazing.. old soul with a great voice.. the whole family is awesome
So do i love Sal
Probably the goat allaround audition of all time😂
I am a 30 year old man, and once he starts the second version it really is all I can do to keep myself from tears. This man, with this song, has out done the master's. Wherever you are good sir BRAVO.
I'm younger
I remember when this first came out on RUclips , && I remember getting goosebumps when he sings && nailing it badass... Any UPDATE ON HIM ..? LMK...
Perfect performance, charisma for days
He’s lucky
yep
PERFECT, Judith Hanh!
Totally agree!
He does sound like Elvis.
Makes elvis look like a dry twig? Lmfao. Deluded person.
goosebumps everytime I listen to this. He was born to entertain, much more than a singer. ❤🎉
