Amazing guide Rachel! This helped a lot, my family and I are going to Hamilton island in June this year for a birthday trip with some friends, I just shared this video with my mum and dad so they can book the trip easier,
Airlie Beach has all this stuff plus heaps more at a lower cost by far, and you don't have ahead, so much also full 18 hole golf course and driving range. So don't ripped off, Airlie Beach has way more.
Thanks for watching! I’m not sure if there are footpaths that go completely from the town to where the mini golf, activities and accommodation is, but there are lots of footpaths across the island. 😊
I have contacted them a few weeks ago to ask but haven’t heard back, sorry! I visited in May/June so no stinger nets were needed then. I have asked family who have been during December (during stinger season) and they don’t remember any nets being up. You can wear/hire stinger suits though to help prevent stings. Thanks!
Hamilton island is just a fancy suburb these days. If you arrived after 1990 you didn't see it when it was truly beautiful. An irukanji jellyfish is in no way a box jellyfish as she states.
Hamilton Island is over rated expensive trap. Best by far is Airlie Beach. You can do all your reef tours and so on from the lovely Airlie Beach. don't be ripped off.

one thing id have added and one thing i make sure to tell everyone going is to avoid the coffee at the marina cafe. its maccas pre mcafe levels of bad

Reef hotel buffet breakfast $43 book day before walk in " on the day pay $ 48 " what a ripoff!" Also ( keep a eye out for some dirty dishes !" ) 😮
